A lot of people do not have more than one means of income and one of the most ignored reason for this is that private business do not allow their employees have time time to have other jobs despite the fact that they're not even paying enough to placate the needs of their employees.

Most entities even go ahead to threaten their workers with the sack, slash their salaries without any consideration especially if they want to expand their businesses.

In other words people are becoming work slaves simply because of the unemployment rate. Some people worked in multi billion naira firm and when they eventually retire or are laid off, they don't even have enough savings to start up their businesses.

In Nigeria, corporate entities are the real reasons why people are in poverty
They do not have plans to help their employees become established even they eventually lay them off.

In this video I talk about how employees bears the consequence of any finacial mishap experienced by a firm and how this makes it difficult to become their own people even after working in places that makes billions of naira.

Well, this is the fact and it doesn't seem like something that will be stopping soon.

On the other hand, these workers will never hesitate to run out of their country whenever they see the chance of greener pastures so, BRAIN DRAIN will soon be the main issue that countries will be dealing with because any worker that is not well valued wiill run away at any slight opportunity.

I wish that it was easy for people to just switch jobs or even start their own business but it's not an Easy job for everyone
Well Done

I'm not sure about brain drain, the smartest people know that there's no where to go, or at least they are starting to get the idea.

Heheheh... That option to explore opportunities outside their nation is something that alot of people are taking as a last resort but like you said, the opportunity is not really waiting for someone anywhere.

Being smart is a nice move.
It's good that cryptoverse is presenting a new type of Opportunity to everyone.

Not everyone can actually start their own business simply because when a country where it becomes rather difficult especially if you are working in a corporate entity. Jobs in Nigeria do not permit you to have other jobs they want your 100% commitment for just a little amount of money and there is no way people can ever be innovative even after leaving this jobs after so many years.
Get a specific of the fact that not all grasses are greener the grasses we have over here is totally dried and not even considerable. I would advise anyone to know that they really would not do a futuristically with having just one means of income. Covid-19 has actually proven this.

I really appreciate you speaking up, however difficult it may be. I know for a fact that things are very different here in Canada and yet, there is a huge poor population here that is facing the same problems.

Aside from some key protections put forward by government, big corporations give no thought to the embetterment of their employees and this affects entire families. Some turn to drugs when they realize they have no chance of beating the odds and improving their future. Meanwhile, they are told: what are you complaining about? you have free healthcare, you can easily find a job... Which isn't entirely true, sometimes partially subsidized medicine is still a huge burden for these people.

They are invisible and are met with little compassion, often coming from poor countries with big dreams. The potential for opportunities is huge compared to Nigeria but for the same reasons you stated regarding your situation, it doesn't always work out that way.

The poor are bombarded with more advertisements and credit card companies are lurking, ready to pounce when the timing is right, especially now with targeted advertisements from algorithms that are fed big data.

I actually do not know this was a thing in Canada as well. I feel there are so many countries who are obviously better than what we experience in Nigeria. Over here you do not even have an option to be dependent and companies and firms do not care about your external living. Lay off without reason and deducts the salaries of workers without even a tangible reason.
These are one of the reasons why people retire to be really poor, there are no external plans for people to become their own bosses after they have left a corporate entity.
companies here only care about their own business and never the welfare of their workers. they feel that workers are lucky to work for them rather than understanding that it is a symbiotic relationship.
It's a really terrible thing here and I'm sorry to hear it's happens over there too

And please know that I understand that these inequalities are much worst in Nigeria, I have seen the artisanal refineries in the delta and I know how desperate the population is over there, that they feel guilty about ruining the environment and that they risk explosions on a daily basis. It is apples and oranges.

Speaking from what I know, video game companies are an example of how badly employees can be treated. They are hired as contractors and expected to not claim certain hours as to not charge overtime. Visual artists wanting to work in an industry like animation or game design are exploited mercilessly because they "like what they do".

Now that these industries have a senior staff with benefits, it becomes increasingly hard to attain this kind of position.

My aunt faced something similar working for the City of Montreal and their touristic circuit such as the botanical garden. At some point, they stopped allowing employees to obtain a permanent position and had to be satisfied with much smaller benefits. It was already like this 20 years ago.
