Having more entrepreneurs in a country means "less unemployment" and more employment opportunities. Having more companies and less entrepreneurs means these huge companies will control the economy. Nevertheless in a place like Nigeria, the sky is not big enough.

Because we have limited consumers companies tries to kill competition by making sure their employes never leave their companies to start up their own business.

The do this by pay them what they do not deserve. They do this by keeping them in the dark rather than exposing them to the company's secret to success

Companies tend to make startup business go through stiff competition by cementing their brand through advertising and making sure entrepreneurs don't last as a result of low patronage.

In other words, people needs to come out to establish themselves as dogged entrepreneurs and challenge established companies with the money and fire power. While people are running away from entrepreneurship big entities are controlling the economy and taking the whole profits without empowering people to be their own man.

One other thing that demotes entrepreneurship in Nigeria is the fact that Nigerians don't want to try new things, they have this mentally that if it does not have a nationwide brand name, then is not original

Then how do someone with a good business idea who does not have enough funds to brand his or her goods or services, get the attention of people?

You made a very nice point here and I would also like to emphasize on the fact that most of the government policies that are made in Nigeria seems to be unfavorable to the petty business people and most especially to some business startups.

Please,do not mind all the schemes that are being publicized and called a scheme for supporting small and medium enterprises. Those that want to start up something are being help off because what they earn is hardly enough to handle theirexpenses talk more of starting up a new business.

It's people like this that really need support from government but even if such a person happens to be a beneficiary, there will still be loopholes that would be used to pull down the business so that only the top giants will be surviving while milking the economy
