Discussions.app is getting close to switching over the interface to what they are experimenting with at gamma.discussions.app. This change will focus a lot more on community building and providing users a better experience when logging in.

The team has hired several people to kickstart community building and help them refine the concepts they are experimenting with. The goal is to attract users from outside of crypto who value freedom, privacy, and open software so they want to make the blockchain aspects disappear into the background as much as possible.

The bootstrap initiative is an effort to draw in a lot of new people whose motivations for using discussions have nothing to do with freedom, privacy or open software. These users will be attracted to the platform because of how it enhances their experience. Working closely with a group of third party developers they are bringing casual gaming to discussions, along with NFTs and direct connections to a large and engaged existing social network. Team expect the mvp of the bootstrap to be ready for users near the end of this month with features and integrations added over time.
