Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this stuff. She's not alone in this desire sooo many people are expressing the same thoughts now. Lots of my friends on FB.
I don't know if they understand the ramifications intirely... and I don't know if they care because they see it as a here and now quick fix and a bold move forward and they can't envision that the future could ever have someone but their "dude" in charge.

It definitely seems like fewer and fewer people care about the long term consequences. I remember reading something by Jeffrey Tucker that increasing time preference was a side effect of inflation.
