9 months on, how's my return from Epicdice?

Another blockchain investment I've made over the past year was on Epicdice. Since another dice game took a runner and left their users and investors looking at each other include myself, I thought I would give this one a go but less passionate as the first dice game. The developers of this game is still active on discord which is a good sign. Initially invested hoping it will become as passive income (still that mindset), here I will compare the returns from 9 months ago to today as I write this post.

I wrote about it nine months ago under this post. At that time, I had 1.1mil EPIC tokens from either playing the game or buying from the market. The dividend already paid out was just over 100 Steem which was the first milestone. Not bad considering I don't remember loosing too many crypto tokens to this game. It was more for the long run. Fast forward 9 months later, let's see what has changed.

I have now just got over 1mil tokens. I sold 10% to recoup some funding to buy some DEC. The game also incorporated to the HIVE chain so token holders can receive dividend in both Steem and Hive. It also allows users to use Steem or Hive to place bets which is handy for those who wants to stay on the other chain. Total dividend on Steem is now 137.107 and Hive 9.043. In 9 months, my dividend only increase approximately 36 Steem and 9 Hives. The return is not as great as expected for 9 months and the daily dividend have dropped dramatically which has been disappointing. At this stage, there are no plans to offload these tokens but I do hope the team will continue to find ways to improve their game and attract new players which is only reason I am hanging on.
