This is news it is as it is, Axa a Swiss insurance company announced that from today on they accept Bitcoin as a payment method.

Pay for what?

They accept it for all kinds of services like for premiums and products they offer.

What is Axa?

Axa is one of Switzerlands biggest insurance companies. They are very popular and offer insurance to all kinds of things.

Do they hold to the Bitcoin?

No. They sell it immediately and convert it to Swiss Francs, that's the sad part of the story.

Do they manage the transactions themselves?

No. They partnered up with bitcoin Suisse which is a bitcoin broker and banking service situated in Switzerland.

Why is this big news?

This is big news because nonetheless Bitcoin is not meant as a currency, the whole crypto sphere gains trust when bigger corporations accept crypto and use it by themselves.

Switzerland has always been very innovative and crypto has been implemented in the public transportation very early. That's why im looking forward to more companies dipping their toes into crypto and bitcoin.
