Yep retention and rates are so important. Everyone seems to complain but the reality is if we look at where we were 2 years ago it's lightyears ahead now.

when we are here everyday it is easy to miss all that has changed. Everyone that is here from the time when Steemit was the only option just needs to remember how hard everything was :D just start with account creation :)

Things have changed a great deal since then. There was a lot of development pushing us to the point where we can see many areas of potential growth as opposed to just one or two.
This really helps when things go exponential. People can find us through many different front ends and games. Plus we have a lot more to offer at the moment.

I disagree with this. We are light years ahead of where we were the last bull run. Think about it, no other tokens but for STEEM, only Steemit.com and Steempeak, and a lot of crap posting.
Yes the numbers are down compared to where they were before but I am not sure most of what was here then provided a great deal. We did lose some good people but there was a lot of spam and reward pool gamers.
I would put the foundation we have no 1000% ahead of where we were a couple years ago.
