Final dCity update for 2020

The Powerdown

A few weeks ago I started a powerdown of the account. I ended it after two weeks for a little over 150 Hive. I immediately put most of this back into the game. The bulk of purchases were 1st edition cards directly from the game with a smaller amount of 2nd edition to provide employment for excess citizens.

I fulfilled the original goal of buying 1st edition cards before the sale of them ceases.

Reinvesting SIM and Hive Received

As I receive rewards from the game in the form of SIM and Hive. Again, the goal is to keep buying the 1st edition cards to increase population and get cards that might not be available in the future.

Future Plans (Short Range)

Sometime in January of 2021 (if lucky, maybe February if not) I should be getting paid a small stipend every month on a regular basis. Right now the plan is to put about $100 US into Hive every month. Most of it I intend to use to buy dCity cards. I estimate I must double my investment to achieve my goal of 100 Hive a week as an income from dCity alone.

Future Plans (Long Range)

I would like to build a few side businesses based on dCity.

I believe I could start a business selling ready made basic cities that already produce an income “out of the box”. New players might rather have a city that is already producing an income while they learn the ropes.

I believe I could also build a city for investors to buy into where they don’t have to concern themselves with the actual mechanics of the game. The investment vehicle could be some form of token to denote ownership and some form of staking to receive the dividends. Of course this will necessitate learning about creating tokens and how to automate the process through programming.
