Regulatory attempts - Intentos regulatorios
Probably because investor behavior is changing and bonds, stocks, fixed terms, and the entire battery of traditional financial instruments are beginning to share the cake with cryptocurrencies, watchdogs have slowly begun to internalize and request reports and reports.
This new paradigm brings with it a series of challenges that begin by showing new rules where the centralization of administration and control has disappeared, giving way to anonymity and security based on distributed verification.
In this environment, the traditional control bodies see their strength liquefied and under the idea of the need to regulate the activity to protect the investor, they begin to try different processes aimed at regulation. What they are probably not saying is that their piece of the pie is being left out and their survival is deeply threatened.
In my country, the regulations and tax pressure is enormous, much heavier than in countries where the standard of living of the inhabitants is infinitely higher, without going into details that means that a lot is charged and badly spent. Our elephantine state does not want to lose part of what is collected and so it is beginning to request information from the different actors in the incipient local crypto life.
For now, it is only limited to requesting information from companies, although it does not seem that they will be satisfied with it and in a short time, we will probably also see a request for information on holdings, investments, and transactions of cryptocurrencies of natural persons.
Some specialists believe that these regulations will only be tacit and framed in the "uses and customs", that perhaps could happen in other more normal countries, here it does not matter if the strict regulations scare investors away. The appetite of the fat nation-state needs fresh food.
Probablemente porque la conducta del inversionista está cambiando y los bonos, acciones, plazos fijos y toda la batería de instrumentos financieros tradicionales están comenzando a compartir la torta con las criptomonedas, los organismos de control han comenzado lentamente a interiorizarse y a solicitar informes y reportes.
Este nuevo paradigma trae aparejados una serie de desafíos que comienzan por mostrar nuevas reglas donde la centralización de la administración y control ha desaparecido dando paso al anonimato y la seguridad basada en la verificación distribuida.
En ese entorno los organismos de control tradicionales ven licuada su fortaleza y bajo la idea de la necesidad de regular la actividad para proteger al inversor comienzan a intentar diferentes procesos tendientes a la regulación. Lo que probablemente no dicen es que su parte de la torta está quedando afuera y su supervivencia se ve profundamente amenazada.
En mi país las regulaciones y la presión impositiva es enorme, mucho más pesada que en países donde el nivel de vida de los habitantes es infinitamente superior, sin entrar en detalles eso significa que se cobra mucho y se gasta mal. Nuestro estado elefantiásico no quiere perder parte de lo que se recauda y entonces está comenzando a solicitar información a los diferentes actores en la incipiente vida cripto local.
Por ahora solo se limita a solicitar información de empresas, aunque no parece que vayan a contentarse con ello y en poco tiempo más probablemente veremos también una solicitud de información de tenencias, inversiones y transacciones de criptomonedas de personas físicas.
Algunos especialistas creen que esas regulaciones solo serán tácitas y enmarcadas en los “usos y costumbres”, eso quizás pueda ocurrir en otros países más normales, aquí no importa si las regulaciones estrictas ahuyentan a los inversores. El apetito del gordo estado nacional necesita alimento fresco.
