However, in companies where a good part of the workforce is being dedicated to the research and development of technologies based on blockchain and cryptography and the current stars in the crypto firmament, Fintech, do not yet show that trend. Just yesterday, reading some news related to this exciting world, I have found with some surprise that what is happening here is not an isolated event, but rather something that is repeated everywhere, even in those most advanced countries in the world. these technologies.
In Europe, the first meeting of women in the crypto industry was held within the framework of a series of events organized by the Finnish company Coinmotion. There Montse Guardia, general director of Alastria Blockchain Ecosystem made a call for more women to join the programming and development areas within this constantly evolving area. Guardia mentions that she would like to see more women, mainly at the level of construction and modeling and technology programming. Other directors of related companies said that even women do not dare to make the leap into the sector.

En el mercado laboral de la tecnología en mi país hay una creciente participación de mujeres, en estos momentos según estimaciones privadas se está aproximando rápidamente al 50% de la oferta existente y es probable que en el corto plazo se supere esa marca dado que las universidades con carreras afines a este segmento del conocimiento muestran desde hace algunos años una mayor matriculación de personas del género femenino.
Sin embargo, en las empresas donde se está dedicando una buena parte de la fuerza laboral a la investigación y desarrollo de las tecnologías basadas en blockchain y criptografía y las estrellas actuales en el firmamento cripto, las Fintech, no muestran aun esa tendencia. Justamente en el día de ayer, leyendo algunas noticias relacionadas con este apasionante mundo, he comprobado con cierta sorpresa que lo que ocurre aquí no es un hecho aislado, sino que es algo que se repite en todas partes, aun en aquellos países más avanzados en estas tecnologías.
En Europa se ha realizado dentro del marco de una serie de eventos organizados por la empresa finlandesa Coinmotion, el primer encuentro de mujeres en la industria cripto. Allí Montse Guardia, directora general de Alastria Blockchain Ecosystem hizo un llamado para que más mujeres se sumen a las áreas de programación y desarrollo dentro de este segmento en constante evolución. Guardia menciona que le gustaría ver a más mujeres, principalmente a nivel de construcción y creación de modelos y programación tecnológica. Otras directivas de empresas afines dijeron que aun las mujeres no se atreven a dar el salto al sector.
No me queda claro el motivo fundamental por lo cual las mujeres todavía no han ingresado de lleno, según compartieron en sus conclusiones del encuentro, no es por falta de oportunidades sino que ellas creen que debería entender mejor el desafío tecnológico antes de volcarse de lleno.
Volviendo a nuestro continente, en Sudamérica hay muchísimos excluidos de los sistemas bancarios, se habla de una cifra asombrosa cercana al 45% de la población. Aquí si hay una participación más activa y creciente es en el uso del ecosistema cripto por parte de las mujeres, sabemos que la economía hogareña está administrada fundamentalmente por mujeres y muchas han encontrado una forma de inclusión y de obtención de ingresos extra dentro del mundo cripto.
Las finanzas descentralizadas con escasas o nulas restricciones están ampliando el horizonte de la economía real en el mundo de los excluidos a los sistemas bancarios, es un hecho concreto cuyos alcances aun no llegamos a vislumbrar.
