A back door in the literal sense is a second entrance to property other than the main one and generally hidden or disguised for visitors and neighbors, in a figurative sense, it is the same.

As has been made public, the US tax agency (IRS) has published official documents where it explains its plans to access and control the stocks of cryptocurrencies held by people and companies, for this it requests collaboration from wallet manufacturers and designers of hardware and software with the aim of creating a series of tools that allow auditing them, for this, it intends to access and even hack the devices in order to control the exchange of value outside the usual channels and supervised by the control bodies.

They have even come to request the creation of "back doors" in the wallets and even exploits to be able to hack them and enter them and detect evasion since their calculations speak of billions of dollars without fiscal control. Additionally, they have mentioned that with this additional income they could audit and detect security flaws in the devices.

Some of the most important hardware wallet manufacturers, including Trezor, have already refused to add this type of cheating on their devices, mentioning that the software and hardware with which they are designed and manufactured is open source and that it is permanently audited by security experts who would soon realize that scheme requested by the IRS.

In Spain and other European countries, there are already concrete measures within their respective tax and fee agencies to know and regulate cryptocurrency transactions that enter or exit the legal tender system, which is reasonable and understandable. Now, trying to enter cryptocurrency wallets and also doing it through back doors and hacks would not be something like violating people's safes?
