I love how neglectful the element of "we'll give recurring payments to parents for kids" is, when the moment they're no longer kids, they suddenly become a liability exposed the reality of an america where wages aren't exactly livable. Yet somehow the delusion that its the best country on Earth continues in the rhetoric of its most vocal citizens.

That's fine, that pumps the housing market more, right?
And it adds to the narrative that there were lots of divorces during covid...
And it sends us all to divorce court, and a judge gets to set custody agreements. So now we as parents are just guardians of our children the person with the real control is the judge.
