Third Time Is The Charm - POB Can Change The Game Together With LeoFinance
This is my first post in the #POB community (or using the POB-tag), and even though it's my very first post, it's not like I am a total stranger to successful communities, engagement or the usual reason for people to hype things up infinitely..
This is actually very common and once you have hype you literally have a goose that lays golden eggs. It's the absolute best time to put in even more effort and to aboard the hype-train because hype will vanish with time. It won't be there forever, which is why I have always been a fan of success-stories being shared across the entire blockchain we have. Those are superb for marketing purposes and will help us to reach the masses over time.
Before that can happen though, we need to actually have success or at least have a bunch of people who truly feels that they are successful in various ways. True success comes from the community.
At the time I am writing this, 1 LEO token is worth 1.22 Hive. The POB token is worth 1.00 Hive so POB have most certainly some great potential. We all know how successful LeoFinance.io is- and has been, and how they have literally paved the way for other communities for a long time.
We might have come to a time where another community joins forces and shares the load for a while. LeoFinance has done a superb job and by the looks of it, POB has a really good community as well. Users are sharing content left and right and there seems to be a lot of engagement.. Which I believe is extremely important. You can't be a "social platform" without engagement which is the reason for all the discussions, posts and initiatives we have to encourage users to engage.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who aren't willing to put in the necessary time and effort to engage, build their own brands, grow their audience and make comments on Hive. Many users seems to believe that things will magically happen with- or without them being dedicated and committed, and even though I personally think that time should have proved to all of us that success is something we have to work for, there are still people out there ignoring that reality.
However, what I like the most so far is actually how POB seems to be a really good mix of both Hive & LeoFinance. They've taken the best things from both worlds so to speak, and they've made their own. That can be game changing for a lot of people with time..
I have talked a lot about engagement and how important it is in the past. I have talked about how LeoFinance & Hive has already changed a lot of lives around the world and now we have #POB:
A place for all types of content, a token that is valued the same as Hive tokens (at the time I am writing this) and a hype-train that is moving quickly. This is what Hive needs. We need more successful communities and POB seems to be the next in line.

Hive is structured in a way where you have to invest and grind if you want to earn. I see this as a good thing. Keeps people from jumping in and trying to "game" the system. I believe that is why Hive, Leo, and other tokens will grow in value. The people that are here are invested in the project. Not what value the crypto is worth today.
That's a very good point, but I think that's also why we haven't really been able to reach the masses yet. We haven't reached all the "Average Joe's" out there, because we've been too focused on bringing in the crypto-enthusiast. I think the POB community is a great place for the "Average Joe's" to come & start their journeys.

I would agree with that. When I buy and stake crypto, I don't think about its value today. I think about its potential 5 years from now. Thats why my main focus is on Hive in general. Crypto is just now starting to appeal to more than the "enthusiasts". The average investors will come.
I totally agree with that. It's inevitable as long as we continue to put in time and effort.

If you want the masses, you need to define Proof of Brain every time. Else you're using an acronym that is not understood by the masses.
Write as if you're speaking to a 5 year old, without any condescension.

I like PoB because its a more general type of tag. Anyone can use it and can be part of the community. It will still depend on how well it can do right now to spur development. First off is the website interface that is currently discussed.

Yeah, I think it's great with a general tag, where you can share whatever you want.. But I think it might attract a lot of low-quality, spam and abuse in the future as well..

I can't disagree with that. They're all getting a huge community with a lot of posts with a high quality content. Plus a high engagement and obviously a pretty high price. I use the three of them and I'm really happy with it. More than Neoxian or Palnet for exemple.

I still haven't looked at Cine. I'm still frequently using the neoxian and palnet tags though, even though it doesn't feel like it will happen much with any of them.

Cine is not generic like POB , CTP , PALNET , NEOXIAN . It is content specific ( movies and tv shows )

I have started to use the Proof of Brain tag myself as well. It is pretty crazy to watch the price of the token go up so much. I wish some of the other tribes would follow suit. SPORTS at 1 Hive per token would be nuts. I like that POB is kind of a place for everything because I enjoy talking about a variety of topics!

I think it's a much needed community. Hive.blog isn't really the place to go for newcomers and people trying to establish themselves.. Hopefully POB will help those people.

Yeah, that would be really cool if it works out. So far things seem to be really great. I think most newcomers just try to find the place where they can get the biggest upvotes. That would be my thinking if I were new here anyway.

Totally agree @POB seems to have taken a positive stance and the content is really engaging, the fact that a Pob is valued similar to Hive should have set off some alarm bells, it definitely has made me curios as to the possibilities available if people are willing to put in the time and effort to see it grow, I truly hope so, it would be a good thing for all the Hive tribes to see another tribe grow, expand and encourage others invite new people to come onboard, anything that stimulates grow for the Hive blockchain social is a good thing in my view.

Proof of Brain (POB) is one of the trending tribe community these days and I also think that it has huge potential and its just a matter of time. Good thing is that majority of coins can be earned through content and buying option is not available for bulk because the volume is not so high in HE.

That would be awesome and it certainly feels like there is some potential. While the price of a lot of cryptos out there are declining, it seems like POB is stagnant, or even goes up a bit. That looks really cool.
