The Expression 'Blog & Earn' Has Never Been More True!
An Amazing Extra Income
I recently talked about me being one of the top Leo authors, and that I have been able to put myself on that list three months in a row. I managed to secure a place on the list in only 21 days the first time, generating amazing rewards of $232 in total. At the time, Hive was worth $0.146 and LEO $0.191, and I managed to earn $118 worth of LEO and $114 worth of Hive.
During the 21 days I was active in October, I also manged to put myself in the leaderboards for most comments, and I continued to push myself into the leaderboards for another three weeks in a row.
Unfortunately, much due to Covid-19 and my job, my time has been very limited since October which has had a very negative impact on my LeoFinance adventure. Despite me being less active, producing less content and engaging a lot less than my first few weeks, I scored a juicy extra income of $426 in total during November. I earned a total of $311 worth of LEO and $115 worth of Hive tokens in November at the prices of; $0.26 for LEO and $0.13 for Hive.
So, Hive went from $0.146 down to $0.130 from October to November, but I still earned $1 worth of Hive more in November compared to October. LEO went from $0.191 to $0.260 and I earned well-more than 2x the amount from LEO in the same time frame.
$357 is the total amount I earned during December, the month I have been least active and engaging. I made $273 worth of LEO and $84 worth of Hive. Based on the prices of $0.50 and $0.13 respectively. While the price of Hive was the same as the month before, I made ~$33 less during December, in terms of Hive earnings. The price of LEO went up to $0.50 compared to the previous $0.26, so it nearly doubled in price. To earn $357 while having the worst month in terms of producing content, engaging etc. was an amazing gift. A bonus.
If I had been as active as I where in November, I would've made more than $600 in LEO at the prices we saw in December.. To put things in perspective, that is more than I pay in rent for my apartment.
Instead, real life happened so I couldn't have done much more than I did. However, while having very limited time, not producing content or engaging much for an entire month.. $357 is a pretty massive and amazing extra income. It's actually almost enough to cover my rent.
The best part is that 76.59% of the earnings are from LeoFinance where I've been active for 3 months. The other ~24% of the rewards comes from Hive, where I've been active for 4+ years.
However, I don't tell you that in an attempt to compare the two. I tell you that only because it's a fact. I earn roughly 3x more from LEO than Hive, and that is based on the price of the tokens.. But truth to be told, when Hive was worth $0.146 and LEO $0.191, I earned $118 worth of LEO and $114 worth of Hive.
So even when LEO was worth less than Hive and me being more active than I've ever been, producing content and making hundreds of comments, I earned more from LEO, even though I was active on LEO for approximately 9 days less than Hive that month.
- It's actually quite hard to grasp that reality..
We all know that money drives people in various ways. We all know that all of us are here to make money. It might not be everyones first priority, but all of us, whales or minnows, are here to make money. Money is one of the biggest factors for hype and buzz..
Imagine if Hive would go up in price. Imagine $1 worth of LEO and Hive...
- That is when this becomes a truly life changing opportunity for everyone involved.
I will continue on my path to teach my audience the impact organic traffic and optimized blog posts can- and will have for the overall growth, and I will continue to put in time and effort in my attempts to bring more people to our beloved blockchain. I think it's great to have goals, but I recommend setting goals for yourself rather than comparing your results with others in an attempt to figure out a decent goal.
In terms of SEO, I share various posts regarding optimization, evergreen content, marketing etc. Basically things that leads to more traffic, or in other words, growth. So feel free to read any of them. :)

Thats Good. I am One of very few in Sweden that hold courses. It is very fun because I learn so much for myself.
I've had my most success being in the top 30 authors last month with my main account (@cflclosers) . I curate with this account. I see leo pricing rising before hive shakes loose simply because of the speed of development and transparency about it. Good leadership here. But it is definitely now easier to earn with blockchain blogging than it was with just "blogging".

Awesome post @hitmeasap. This will help motivate many Hiveans, myself included, to post more on the LeoFinance community. I have been doing more trading on the Hive Engine and on other exchanges these days so I don't put out content as often as I want. Thanks! :)

Definitely good times to be on LeoFinance right now.
I don't think this level of high payouts can be sustained, as we have seen with other apps, or even Hive (Steem) itself, it will inflate or cause abuse if we keep these high amounts of payouts, but for the time being we all are in the early adopter inner circle and are getting great gains from it!
That's a good point. We will have more and more users trying to squeeze out tokens and some of those users will obviously try to abuse the reward system to their favor. I think we will be able to counter most of them though.
That being said, it's literally a perfect time to start being active and contributing to LeoFinance right now.

I've written on both Hive and Leo and there is a big difference. I prefer to write content herein Leo than Hive and use the last one for my off-topic stuff. LeoFinance is amazing and the rest of the Hive should learn from it.
