How to Redeem your ADA rewards from Incentivized Test by Shelley Daedalus Wallet
If you delegated test ADA to Testnet ADA pools and got rewards, you can transfer the rewards to mainnet wallet and could use as real ADA.
I explain how you could the rewards from testnet to Shelley Mainnet wallet.
Redemption of Incentivized Testnet ADA by Daedalus Wallet 2.1.0
Download and Install Daedalus 2.1.0 or above from Daedalus website and then run.
Daedalus Wallet
If you run old version of Daedalus before 2.1.0, Daedalus shows instruction message to install higher version with link to download it.
After you install Daedalus wallet, unit setting and terms and condition are shown and then Blockchain synchronization start. It is required to wait until all synchronization completes 100%. If you do not complete synchronization, Daedalus consider you do not have Shelley Mainnet wallet even though you already have that.
The synchronization may take over 5 hours due to downloading whole blockchain that heightens this wallet’s reliability.
This synchronization may be positive in terms of heightened reliability and potential many usage of this wallet.
But still it seems to be difficult for general non professional users to use this wallet.
Later, it would be better to simplify its features and user interaction to attaract general users.You can see the icon of piggy bank that has “ITN” inside. Click it.
You type wallet recovery phase of 15 words in “Wallet recovery phrase” of Incentivized Testnet, ITN that store your ADA rewards.
Select the Shelley mainnet wallet in “Redeem rewards to:” that will receive the ADA rewards.
You are required to select the checkbox that ask you if you agree to pay transaction fee of less than 2 ADA.
- I understand that redeeming rewards from the incentivized Testnet requires paying transaction fees.
- I understand that fees will be paid from the wallet I am redeeming my rewards to.
And then click “Continue”
If you confirm the transaction fees that take place to transfer the rewards ti Shelley Mainnet wallet, type in the spending passwords of the wallet and click “Confirm rewards redempotion”.
You can see the confirmation message that show the amount of transferred ADA and transaction fees if the transaction is completed successfully.
If the transaction is failed, you can see the message below. It is required to check again if you entered the wallet recovery phrase that does not have ITN rewards.
Errors and Solution
I do not have Shelley Mainnet Wallet. What should I do?
(Redemption of Incentivized Testnet rewards is not available as you currently do not have any Shelly-compatible wallets)
You can make Shelley Mainnet Wallet that has 24 words via clicking “Add wallet” in Daidalus mainpage.
My password is not correct.
It is required to type in the password of Shelly Mainnet Wallet that you transfer to. If this error continues, It is recommended to delete recent wallet and then restore it.
The reward transaction doesn’t work with the message of a lack of transaction fee.
(Cannot send from a wallet that contains only rewards balances.
The selected wallet does not have sufficient ada to cover the necessary transaction fees, Please choose another wallet or add more funds to this one.)Shelley Mainnet wallet that you transfer the rewards to is required to have minimum 2 ADA.
Transaction fees happen when you transfer the rewards to Shelley wallet.
Acquire ADAs from exchange and then transfer it to Shelley wallet.
