Hi! I'm Gubba 👋
About Me
Online streamer at Twitch.tv/GubbaTV and content developer. I started from humble beginnings and worked my way up to obtain sponsorships with large corporations. I've built my business from the ground up through hard work, dedication and most important building an amazing community!
In addition to streaming online videogames, I mix it up with improvised scripts and repeating themes delivered by a wide variety of custom characters I created and developed specifically for streaming. I have the original Gubba (me), along with 10 or 12 characters, including GubChef, GubPolice, GubFortuneteller, Notorious G.U.B, GubStewardess and others.
Why Did I Join?
After random shadowbans and restrictions on traditional social media sites *I wrote more about this on my blog GubbaTV.com I decided to set out and look for better alternatives.
Parler was a good start but was shut down. It was at that moment I started looking for decentralized alternatives which lead me here!
I believe LeoFinance is a good place to write about the business I'm in including how I accept cryptocurrency on my live stream and manage it all. With hive I can share all of my other content such as gaming, music and writing.
What really has me excited was hearing about ProjectBlank which from what I understand is a decentralized alternative to Twitter. This sounds exactly like what I’ve been looking for and I’m excited for the launch!

I'm currently working on my second book which I feel I've rewritten so many times! I want to reveal all of the history including great and crazy times within the streaming community. I'll be releasing this soon!
2020 was a rough year for many of us. It’s the time I decided to take the plunge and get my first ever puppy! I always said growing up that I didn’t like dogs and would never get one of my own. I realized it wasn’t the dog I didn’t like it was bad owners that would let their dogs get away with anything.
I’ve had such an amazing experience with my puppy. She’s a Karelian bear dog who I take hiking with me on long treks. I got her for protection especially from bears that frequent these trails. She’s a big game hunter and is great for deterring bears. It’s nice having a loyal companion to join me on these long adventures.

I love the whole having multiple characters thing. I have always thought that concept was a great way to share everything you love instead of being restricted to a few topics.

It's crazy what's going on with some of these social media companies lately. It makes no sense how some discussing content that is clearly a violation of community guidelines stays up and then my Fortnite gaming content gets shut down. Releasing a blog post about that today on my blog.
Glad you've started your journey. Let your 'traditional' readers/viewers know about Leo, Hive and whole ecosystem so that they could support you without bias restrictions imposed by BigTech

I look forward to hearing more of your music, try posting those videos on 3speak.co, Thats a video platform tied to the hive blockchain. You might be able to stream there too. If not I know that vim is a streaming platform tied to hive but I haven't used it personally. Good luck =)

Its interesting and great that you put your story into a blog and left it here on the blockchain, so yes, welcome to the Hive movement and blockchain. Your first blog is up and on the chain, hope you feel relieved, and not afraid of what is coming your way in the comments.

As you can probably guess, we have had a couple of issues with identity fraud - money makes people do the strangest things.
There are numerous ways people have 'connected' their social media profiles together, and as you have a website then an update there, or on a stream (twitch live plays can be embedded into posts here) would be cool.

Thank you so much! Appreciate the extra help and exposure as I start using Hive. That's one thing I've been having a hard time with is figuring out how to gain more exposure on the platform as there seems to be no algorithm?
I am inexperienced with the coding of the blockchain lol, but continuing to put out good posts like that will get you out pretty quick, and maybe join the Ladies of Hive community; you could come into The Terminal and we have a few really well known women in there that can give you a hand getting going if you like.
