I've actually recently changed when I celebrate my birthday. I got fed up with never having a special day and it always being winter so now my family arrange a celebration for me in summer and tell me when it is. I have my cards on my birthday and then presents and celebrations in the summer. It's so much fun and I've had some wonderful surprises. 😁
Nice. I quite like the fact it's a busy time of year. It kind of lets my birthday slide under the radar without much fuss. The only real down side I've found is that trying to make dinner plans. Getting a table can be a challenge at a lot of places.

And you pay alot more for other activities.
And after all the Christmas celebrations and a grandson's birthday on the 21st we've all had enough of celebrating so doing something in the summer means we all enjoy it way more.
Yeah, for us December is more about our daughter. Her birthday, followed by Christmas - it's expensive that's for sure. Of course the weather in Australia at that time of year isn't really an issue.
