Is a Flag Pattern just a Verticle Expanding Triangle?

Sounds crazy, right?

I was messing around re-drawing the trend lines the Hive-USD chart when for some reason the line didn't stick and it ended up crossing over to the bottom trending line.

What the fuck.

But it looks right.

The top line follows the trend upward, and the bottom line follows the supporting trend line. The Flag bisects the triangle to separate the upward shaft from the Flag itself.

It's a fucking triangle!

Mind blown.
