Quiero invitarte a que vayas a tu banner de páginas de Peakd o Hive y pinches donde dice “conexiones” o “conections”, en inglés. ¿Qué te aparece? Ve y vuelve, si quieres. Si te dio pereza ir, no hay problema, te digo de una vez: followers y following, es decir, seguidores y seguidos.
Anteriormente, publiqué un artículo sobre el feed y cómo nos estamos alimentando en Hive y en cualquier red social. Te invito a leerlo para que complementes esta corta reflexión sobre el poder de las relaciones.
Me gusta como Peakd titula la página donde aparecen nuestros seguidores y seguidos. Y es que mis queridos, de eso se trata esta plataforma de cripto blogging social y cualquier red social en general: de conectar.

Se llama seis grados de separación a la idea que intenta probar que cualquiera en la Tierra puede estar conectado a cualquier otra persona del planeta a través de una cadena de conocidos que no tiene más de cinco intermediarios, algo que se ve representado en la popular frase «el mundo es un pañuelo». La pregunta que te hago es ¿a quién estás siguiendo? ¿cuáles seguidores te estás ganando? ¡Ojo! No dije “cuántos”, sino “cuáles”. Lo de la cantidad, lo dejamos para otro post. Esta vez quiero resaltar la importancia de a quienes nos estamos ganando allá afuera, quienes están siguiendo nuestras publicaciones, con quien nos estamos conectando al punto que esa persona desee seguirnos.
Pero también, como lo menciono en el post que te referí más arriba, ¿a quiénes estás siguiendo? ¿cómo te estás alimentando en Hive o en cualquier red social? Es importante seguir a usuarios que te aporten valor y no que ensucien tu feed o solo te dejen calorías, colesterol, azúcares y demás comida baja en proteínas y vitaminas. Mi invitación es a seguir con inteligencia, no por mera emoción ni por inercia.
¿QUÉ ESTÁS HACIENDO CON TUS CONEXONES?
Otra pregunta más. ¿están de adorno esos seguidores y seguidos? De nada vale tener cinco mil seguidores y que a su vez sigas tú a mil, sino conectas con ellos. Ellos no son un lindo prendedor en tu perfil, la razón de su existencia es para que los visitemos, comentemos sus publicaciones, los rebloguemos y les demos un poderoso y amoroso “like” o “upvote”.
Conectar es: unir, relacionarse, compartir intereses e ideas. Concatenar con otros, crear enlaces. Mantener comunicación permanente con otros a través de un comentario, un voto o un reblog. Decirle al otro:"¡Hey! , estoy aquí, te recuerdo siempre”. El estar en constante conexión nos permite estar al tanto de las cosas que cada uno hace y eso puede ayudarse a referirse en determinado momento. Por ejemplo, una vez leí un post sobre el tema del autismo y recordé a 5 personas que sé que les habría interesado esa información. ¿qué hice? Las mencioné en mi comentario. ¿resultado? Conecté con otro usuario gracias a ese comentario y adicional a eso, le referí a ese usuario a otros más, creando así más relaciones. Puedo unir lazos personales y profesionales, en esta red o más allá de ella. Si no comento, voto o me conecto con otros, puedo estar perdiendo oportunidades de aprendizaje, relaciones personales y hasta dinero.
Conecta, conecta siempre y hazlo bien, con calidez, inteligencia y un franco interés en aportar a otros a través de tu contacto.
