Having fun with Probit Trading Competitions
After learning about the Blurt Trading competition that was mentioned in the Discord chat I went over to the Probit trading competition page to see whether I could still participate in it. It seems like I could stand a chance to win one of the consolation prizes amounting to 4000 Blurt tokens.
As part of the requirement, I had to stake about $29 worth of Prob tokens which will come in handy if I were to keep using Probit for my trading.
I just got the minimum "Standard" membership level which is enough to be eligible for trading competitions. I will consider leveling-up if ever I win any of the competitions there are. Also, by staking Prob I will be rewarded with some Prob tokens at a rate of 4% annually.
The only downside is that both of the staked Prob & rewarded Prob can't be "unstaked" right away. It will require about 6 months to fully unstake the whole amount.
On the upside, if I play along with the trading competitions right then I could win back the $29 Prob tokens expenditure. In fact, I shouldn't call it expenditure because I still own the $29 Prob tokens, it was just locked up for the next 6 months.
Anyway, upon checking all the available trading competitions; I realized that I could potentially win 2 competitions. The first one is Tripedia.
On the Leaderboard, I'm currently ranked in 18th place.
If the rankings remain the same then I would win a total of 65,000 Trip tokens. That will be my reward for buying 100,000 Trip tokens worth $6.38. I know very little about this project and so I don't want to invest too much in it. Actually, I plan to sell all of the purchased Trip tokens and the prize Trip tokens as soon as I receive them. If the price won't change then I basically gained about 65% which will equate to $4.147. So, my initial expenditure of $6.38 will become $10.527 which isn't too bad for an easy win.
The next event that I'm participating in is the Blurt Trading competition.
For some reason, my ranking isn't showing yet. Based on the leaderboard I should be in 5th place.
If I'm able to secure that spot then I could win 5000 Blurt tokens. That will be equivalent to about $50 if I decided to dump that in the market. Again, not too bad for an initial expenditure of $29.
So, for these two trading competitions alone, I could win a total of $54.147 in a span of 3 days.
There are other trading competitions however the participants are too competitive that in order for me to win something I would need thousands of dollars to get to the consolation prizes. I'm not going to take my chances on those since it's too much of a risk for me. I would rather go for events that I feel that I could win.
And even if I lose then I could simply stake or power-up the tokens that I acquire to gain something out of it. The Tripedia tokens can be staked directly in the Probit wallet for a 67.6% annual rate. The locked-up period is 6 months long.
While Blurt tokens can be powered-up in the Blurt Wallet for a 25-30% APY just by curating contents.
Both Tripedia & Blurt tokens offer a distinct reward mechanism to remunerate holders or stakers.
