These optimizing posts are ingenious. I have learned more about the game in these few posts than in the three months "playing it" before. Admittedly, I didn't really touched it much but I will closer at optimizing it now.

Yeah, I will have to agree with @flauwy although @gerber has provided many tools to assist. However, your story telling makes it all click for me.
