Google AdSense and Google Ads Are Going To Be History Soon - It's Time For Decentralization

The social media era is going through some rough changes and very soon, a few giants that are leading now are going to face some losses for a very good reason. The old fashioned social media is not needed anymore as there are better options now and people are becoming more conscious, more driven to own their content versus giving it up for free to these giants who can profit from it, not to mention the abuse that is going on on a daily bases.

Advertising is changing as well, the old model is not good anymore as there are better and more efficient ways to do it. AdSense, Google's advertising service is going to face serious competition soon.

Google AdSense is available for content creators, bloggers. You can join the program for free if you're eligible. Getting your account approved is not an easy process though, many have been complaining about being rejected without a proper explanation, but the number of those who's account has been blocked and have been kicked out of the program is even higher. Google has very strict rules and once your account is blocked, you can't register again.

I've been an AdSense user since April 2009 and have earned quite a nice amount for a content creator who's been blogging and displaying ads through AdSense but all good things come to an end. My blogs are still up and running but the earnings are insignificant, compared to what I'm earning here.

Google Ads (formerly Google AdWords) is the other side of the business, where Google is offering advertising services to businesses. I've never used it to be hones, I got a voucher at the beginning but the bonus they were offering users was not entirely free as you could use the voucher in case you invested fiat in an advertising campaign.

For someone totally unaware of what has been going on over the years, these two centralized services could look like a very good opportunity for advertisers and content creators, but the truth is far from it. The page ranking algorithm has been manipulated over the years, discriminating websites, ranking them lower than usual for various reasons.

Time has changed, technology has evolved and we're no longer constrained to use these centralized, heavily censored, abusive and nontransparent services. There are better alternatives that are going to take over very soon as you can't abuse people's money and trust forever.
