YouTube censorship

An analysis by Luke Fitzpatrick, a researcher on topics related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain, shows that Google's actions are affecting Bitcoin-related YouTube channels.

As explained by Fitzpatrick, Google will release an update to its core algorithm in May. Since YouTube belongs to Google, the traffic of youtubers who focus on Bitcoin has decreased. Fitzpatrick mentions that censorship is not limited to YouTube users; Cryptocurrency news media has also been affected.

Carl Martin Runefelt, YouTuber and founder of The Moon AB, has suffered from YouTube's increasing censorship of cryptocurrencies. In addition, it is already known in the cryptocurrency ecosystem that the videos and even channels of various youtubers have been deleted due to this same situation. Runeleft told a media outlet:

This latest development regarding YouTube's censorship against bitcoin videos is very alarming. YouTube is now clearly limiting the scope of my videos when I put the word bitcoin in the title. I've never seen this on my channel, and now it's happening to all the biggest youtubers in the bitcoin space simultaneously in the past few days. After three hours of uploading the video, views suddenly drop by 90% and cannot be seen in search results. Also, some of my 100,000 subscribers have reported that my videos are no longer recommended to them.

Seems youtube just wants to become cable news 2.0. All the rest of the channels are shoved to the side.

I think that more than that, I think YouTube is going to give us a surprise right away, otherwise time will tell

At least there's 3speak, lbry, bitchute etc. Interaction is better on those platforms anyway. I suspect youtube's user base is asleep for the most part.
