Using the term 'slave' is clearly going to be offensive to African-American culture because their ancestors were actual-slaves. Still, does the field-slave get to tell the house-slave to "check their privilege"? At the end of the day it's really not that hard to use another word like servant or peasant. Peon is a fun one.
