dCITY - Final day as President?

dCity just got a new announcement post!, the details of which include the new combine recipe mostly dealing with Farms and GMO Farming Tech, once again TECH miners delight as this combine sucks up 3 GMO cards and 1 basic automation.

It also announced that we are on track for the updated SIM governance lobby options, which will change the way taxes work (INCOME tax reduction lobby) as well as change the way rewards are distributed. This is a huge upgrade that will make the reward pool last long into the future, and maybe even give it a chance to grow again. Also, it is highly anticipated that more than 400 players will receive daily hive rewards by being able to compete in more categories.

For now, I can say I presided over a large shrinkage in the Global Sim Power metric, which is still falling. It is easier than ever to ape into a big SIM stake, whether or not you are playing dCity! Only-SIM holders can just lobby for SIM holding rewards.

I have had a lot of fun being president again, and no matter if I win a second term or not, I will most probably continue to work on boosting the SEO ranking of dcity.io and other related links, and I will most definitely continue to contribute to authors who post about dcity (and the reward pool) with the dCity Digest.

The digest is set up to give out 10 HIVE SBI units twice per week, the posts should generate just enough payout to cover this, plus 5% directly to the reward pool (and 5% to ARCHON beneficiary program). Your votes are always appreciated in this effort, if the Digest can grow to support more authors, that is an easy change to make.

And whether or not I continue to be your president, I am extremely happy that more players got out to vote than ever before, 169 accounts and rising! Still, with just over 60 million Sim Power voting, I wonder what the other 36 million Sim Power is thinking? We may never know, unless they vote by today's payout time.

For the last day, I have decided, based on @gerber's prodding, to lighten everyone's load and lower the taxes. Perhaps it is best to have some tax-free/tax-lite days, and not take the SIM economy too seriously, although I do take the very real potential that this game has, seriously.

Apart from upcoming governance, cementing SIM as the most advanced governance token on any blockchain, @gerber has hinted many times at providing some sort of liquidity pool for SIM. I noticed recently that this pool already exists, although there are currently no rewards for participating:

On of the underlying mechanics behind the dcityfund is the management of beeswap, a liquidity pool for hive/swap.hive. This works 'under the hood' to support the SIM economy with fees. Gerber also lets other Liquidity providers in on the action.

Here are some old numbers from Gerber, but I think we are going to see our 'something special' continue to expand over the next months, as the diesel pools are a new free tool that anyone can build on, and we know our favorite baby loves to build. Imagine a ultility that instantly converts HIVE to SIM, or even SWAP.DOGE to SIM! On boarding from other chains will get even easier.

And an active developer, and active development team, is something that I am especially grateful for - I know for a fact that having great ideas is much easier than getting them working in code.

Big things are coming to our dCity, let's keep mining techs, mining citizens, upgrading our cities while we can! Take this chance to decide at what level to play and get your friends to set up their HIVE wallets so they can play along as well.
