What PayPal accepting cryptocurrency means for Hive and LeoFinance
I'm sure many of you have heard the news already, PayPal will begin allowing people to pay any merchant using cryptocurrency sometime early next year. This is excellent news for all cryptocurrencies, especially Hive and LeoFinance.
PayPal adding this ability will mean cryptocurrencies will be more attractive to a lot of users, as it gives immediate utility to them. Combined with instant exchanges like MorphToken, Godex, and flypme, this will drive up the value of all cryptocurrencies.
That'll also mean people will be more interested in platforms like Hive and LeoFinance where they can earn cryptocurrency, hopefully we'll be on our game for when the time comes.
I expect Hive will see a major increase in usage over 2021, we'll see how it turns out.
What do all of you think? Will this bring in more people to using cryptocurrency, or do you think it'll be another short lived venture. PayPal definitely has the amount of usage needed to make an impact.
I agree that it will bring in more people, drive the price and lead to more acceptance and knowledge of crypto as a whole. Otherwise, it is an attempt of a big player to get its centralized fingers into a decentralized project. Cleverly done not by investing own money but by using the money of their customers (in classic old fashing banking style) giving them worthless promises in exchange. Hope enough people that learn over PayPal what BTC is all about will go for their own wallet with their own keys...

I agree with the PayPal adoption being positive. It would be cool if PayPal adopted Hive, too, but I really don't think that will ever happen because Hive is simply too good compared to PayPal itself as a payment system.

Yeah it is a centralized platform meaning that the crypto on there likely does not leave. However, it all is promotion and the more eyes, the better.
I agree, as more get involved in crypto in any way, the greater the opportunity for platforms such as Hive and Leofinance.
