You Better Read This Before Burning Your dCity NFT!
Hello..... fellow dCity player!
It's me, a long time player of the game. I've been with the game since the 1st Edition cards. I've barely taken anything out of the game. Nearly everything's been re-invested. I've been through a lot and I kind of know how things work around here.
If you are a long time player or expert in the game, you can skip over this early part. You've probably already learned about all of it.
It Starts With Lack of SIM Power
It's important to keep that SIM Power over 8000. That way there's you earn additional Hive rewards on top of getting bigger say in governance. SIM power is your 30 average of SIM holdings.
So I Tried Burning
I'm used to burn values of Splinterlands Cards for DEC. I see them when I browse my collection. They are most of the time a good deal. Prices are most of the time close to market prices of cards.
Not So Much For dCity
What The Market Says
That's at least 10 times or more price for NFT. Burn values are very very low for dCity cards. But on the other hand market isn't super liquid either. Sometimes you have to wait for few days even if you list your NFT for even the best price.
It's Still Helping dCity Economy/Tokenomics
Less cards mean more scarcity. That's even higher prices for existing cards. Higher prices tend to attract more users due to the opportunities they provide.
In a away I've done a small service to all the dCity players by burning some cards. It's one of those things you could do to help the game :) Currently we are facing some serious troubles to keep SIM prices up. So short term results might not be the best. On the long term more scarce NFTs become more attractive.
Job Center Is A Must
You're going to get tons of Homeless & Immigrants into your city. Training turns then into Workers, Scientists and Artists. The last 2 types give Education and Creativity stats. You can Load them to earn get even more out of your existing NFTs:
Currently there's 79.5% training chance for me. I'm trying to get this over 100% (if it's possible) and keep turning those Homeless & Immigrants into more productive citizens.
