Who Are We Kidding?

I tend to say things that are bugging me instead of keeping quiet and believe this is something we should all be aware of.

Many of us on Hive are here for the long haul and are here for when one day the masses onboard and the price sky rockets. That has always been my hope anyway and one which still remains firmly in place and will always be the same. We have worked too hard and too long to give up on our hopes and dreams.

@tradewatchblog did a post today digging deeper into the hive economics and what is really happening and no wonder we are stuck with a price that is now going nowhere.

The truth is more has been hitting the exchanges than being powered up putting heavy pressure on Hive. In my opinion Hive is undervalued for what it offers compared to other coins and will hopefully one day be in the top 50 or top 20, but with this type of behavior it has no chance of claiming a seat in the top 50.

What burns my butt why are users supporting these individuals as they are leeches to the whole economics on here sabotaging the entire block chain. I have heard the argument they are your tokens so it is your right to do what you want with them which I get. In the same way it is your stake so it is your right to vote accordingly and I won't support this type of behavior personally. This is a touchy subject as many come out fighting knowing what they are doing is undermining everyone elses efforts. We had this on sports about 12 months ago and it has improved , but is a problem many of the tribes had or still have.

Leo is doing well as users stake but this is a rarity if we take a look around as for many it is about now and how much they can milk. Would you as a Leo investor support other users who are blatantly dumping if it started to happen putting Leo's price under pressure? The answer would most likely be a big NO so why is it allowed to happen on Hive?

I am going to reassess my witness votes over the next few days as in the comments you can learn quite a bit on who is dumping what. Hive was at 96 c and is now at 12 c and if this trend continued we could see a 9c before long. The bull market which everyone was hoping for with investors having made profit on Bitcoin may or may not happen so what happens if it doesn't?

If it doesn't it tells me that Hive will remain at the 10c-12 c price range as this behavior of regular dumping will just continue. This is unsustainable and the milkers need to wake up as they have no interest in long term growth and prosperity like many of us do. People are unfortunately soft in how they think and it could be costing them so much with a softly softly approach as others are taking advantage of their generosity.

I am here for myself and the community and want everyone to succeed in their hopes and dreams. I just wish others would wake up and understand what is going on around them and change the way they voted and did things.

I proxied my vote to Leo a long time ago. I let them handle all of my witness stuff. I agree, it is your stake to do with what you want, but it is also my choice not to support the people who are not building the system and they are just milking it for all they can. I don't have a ton of respect for people like that when the token could be worth so much more.

I proxied my vote to Leo a long time ago.

I should do that, or to someone that will keep up with all of that.

I did it to Leo before the split and so it carried over. Back at that point they were about the only witness I trusted that didn't have blatantly selfish motives.

I think reevaluating your votes for witnesses is a good first step, the only thing about that is with no vote decay they always have all those old votes. I don't support dumpers when I know about it, my upvote on Hive is very little anyway.

That is a problem and will always be around with users just voting and leaving it never to be seen again. Dumpers are the worst kind and that is when we are at 12 c . Can you imagine if it was at $2.

I'm with you on this one. My votes go to witnesses actively building on hive or ones that can bring some business sense to the system. It actually wouldn't take much to improve the price of hive if the people with dev skills were willing to work with people who had some business skills like the Leo team have put together. An actual business plan. It looks like theycallmedan is thinking along the same lines for this year.

We have nothing that buys hive off the market even though we have the attention to make profit with the system. I just can't understand why the people with websites don't understand the power of using the attention to buy back hive and power it up for curation systems. These will bring over more users and increase the profits. They could run profitable websites and help the ecosystem at the same time.

That is something that needs to happen as their is no eco system right now benefitting everyone. Many are only thinking of themselves and not what can happen in a year or two. I actually am positive this will change and those that haven't staked will be shafted big time.

I don't generally vote people who are selling either.

I prefer to see people buying in and powering up!

My thoughts entirely as who would be selling at 12 c? that to me is super dumb and wrecking the entire use case for later on. Greed and not giving a shit is not a good characteristic to have and many seem to fit that model.
