Passive Crypto Earnings December 2020 (Lending/Dividends/Staking)

in LeoFinance3 months ago (edited)

I continue to make these monthly reports on my Lending, staking, Dividends passive crypto earnings to help me keep track of it while giving myself some motivation to continue building while it also might give some good info to those who are also looking to get some passive earnings from their crypto holdings...

I will only cover mostly passive earnings in these posts not including earnings that take more effort like blogging, Gaming, Sports Betting & Poker or Affiliates on platforms like Hive |Publish0x | Scorum | Steemit | Uptrennd | Splinterlands | Nitrogensports | ...

How much exactly is needed to get to these numbers can perfectly be calculated along with the risk it involves, so do your own research on that if you intend to get in on any of the ones that I am using to get passive returns!

I'm quite late on the December report but I do want to keep them up even though it's quite some work each time to get everything sorted out. I still continue to build and compound everything. I did a bit of selling and buying last month but overall not too much has changed

Crypto Lending Earnings

I'm still using the 4 big Crypto Lending platforms (Celsius.network | BlockFi | Nexo.io | Crypto.com) as a way to both get the best rates and also spread the risk.

1. BlockFi

BlockFi is still the easiest and cleanest platform to get a return on my crypto earnings. The rates remain also excellent (6% on BTC | 5.25% on ETH | 5% on LTC) and payouts are done once a month very consistently. I did increase my ETH holdings there a little bit last week. One of the nice things about BlockFi is that they also allow trading making it possible to temporarily sell or buy dollars into BTC or swap BTC to ETH when the setup looks bullish. I almost sold some BTC when the H&S Pattern was forming but it didn't get there. I also wanted to switch some BTC into ETH there (See Documented Trade #4) but I so far only took this trade on Binance with my trading funds.

BlockFi is also giving a 10$ worth in BTC to everyone that signs up and deposits at least 100$ in Crypto on their interest account when they sign up with a Referral link. Feel free to use mine or the one from a friend that already has a BlockFi account.

BlockFi Passive Earnings
0.00441657 BTC (153.47$)
0.08801675 ETH (115.04$)
0.07948276 LTC (11.65$)

2. Crypto.com Earn / Cashback

I mainly use Crypto.com for their Visa Debit card and actually made an EURO deposit to cover my general expenses (mostly food) for 2021. Since the app allows me to buy and sell all kinds of crypto Coins directly for EURO, I will use it to take some trades with an eye to have the profit pay for all my expenses during the year. If there are bullish setups or big dips I will be making short-term trades taking profit each time. I did already buy some BTC locking it up for 3 months since I'm not needing it until later in the year getting 4.5% on it. I also bought some ETH and put it on flexible staking for 2.5% so I can sell it in case the expected pump eventually comes. Link is also one of my holdings there making no returns but being at +26% profit. There are no fees to buy, but the prices when buying crypto with EURO are always a bit higher compared to the average market price on coinmarketcap which sucks. In return, you do get a lot of conveniences. I did end up moving all my ICX to my Atomicwallet.

They are still offering a nice sign-up deal for everyone that gets on using a referral link (code: e7xe283zea) giving a free 25$ worth in CRO when meeting certain requirements.

Crypto.com Passive Earnings
7.7173 ICX (5.16$)
56.1373 CRO (4.57$)

3. Celsius.network

Celsius.network remains my favorite lending platform as they offer so many different altcoins with excellent returns and look to be quite trustful (you never know though).I am still holding most of my LINK there but I do plan to diversify part of it in some other tokens or move some over to Nexus (which pays 5% compared to 4.51%). I'm still waiting for the next big pump though so for now it all remains in place. I also bought some Synthetix a while back on Binance but still am cost averaging some more before putting in it celsius which give 16.16% Returns.

Celcius.network is still offering a sign-up bonus up to 20$ in BTC for everyone that signs up with a Referral link depositing 200$ or more keeping it in place for at least 30 days.

Celsius.network Passive Earnings
12.13119 LINK (244.56$)
3.428 EOS (9.36$)
5.19 ZRX (2.71$)
0.0085 DASH (0.97$)
0.0000 BTC (0.44$)

4. Nexo.io

I wrote to the support service on Nexo since my transaction page was missing some payments but they never returned to me. From what I'm seeing, the earnings actually get added to my account but it just doesn't show on the page for some days. the same thing happened in December, so far in January, everything shows. I will keep an eye out on it more closely. For now I just keep my funds on Nexo low.

Nexo.io Passive Earnings
2.0956 EOS (5.76$)

Crypto Dividend Earnings

These are dividends paid from projects that have actual revenue and share it with tokenholders.

1. Wink.org (WIN)

I still very much enjoy the Wink.org dividends and have used the dip to 63$ for 1M WIN to cost-average my way in a bit more now being at 25M frozen. The schedule of WIN being released into circulation is quite furious even though it is capped at 100 Billion. 77% is currently in circulation but it hasn't gotten itself into being frozen yet. So basically if more people start gambling on the site, both the divs and the price will likely get suppressed by part of that supply being sold and frozen. I just see this as a good dividend stock paying around +0.70% Returns weekly doing well against the dollar for some passive earnings. Wink also launched an extra platform on the Binance Chain which pays out some BNB to WIN stakeholders. I should see an increase of earnings on WIN in January since I increased my holdings quite a bit.

Wink.org Passive Earnings
WIN 1367.54 TRX (40.37$)
RAKE 49.3 TRX (1.45$)
BNB 0.0788 BNB (3.22$)

2. Sportbet.one (SBET)

SBET Dividends remain a reliable source of passive income with both the potential to increase once Joe Public gets back into crypto or fall completely flat if no further adoption would happen or if sportbet.one would get cracked down by regulation. It's all in the risk/reward and I'm quite pleased having a small part of my crypto portfolio in this project.

Sportbet.one Passive Earnings
15.1922 EOS (41.17$)
11.6 SBET (0.03$)
0.06388 mBTC (2.20$)
0.629 USDT (0.63$)

Crypto Staking Earnings

From what I understand, staking is all about locking up coins getting rewards for it that most of the time comes from inflation.

1. NEO GAS

I have been writing how I was going to sell my remaining NEO position and I recently did so converting it into some DeFi projects. So this will be the last time collecting some GAS. This will be replaced by an increase elsewhere though.

NEO GAS Passive Earnings
1.5193 GAS (2.75$)

2. Tron (TRX)

I haven't played poker with my TRX poker bankroll for a while due to lack of time but still have most of that Locked into voting for Witnesses. I did reduce from 12k TRX to 10k TRX using the difference to buy some more WIN tokens?

TRON Passive Earnings
60.775 TRX (1.80$)

3. Algorand (ALGO) Staking Rewards

I once again locked my ALGO in Binance account which gives some good returns. The entire staking/staving/locking/... on Binance is quite a mess as there are so many different options. They do provide passive returns for a lot of different coins (TOMO | ARK | EOS | ARPA | LIST | THETA | LOOM | KAVA | TEZOS | ATOM | TRON | ALGO | ONE | FET | STRAT | QTUM | KMD | VET | ONT | NEO | TROY | ERD | XLM | YFI | KNC | ...). Signing up with my Referral Link will also give you a 0.10% cashback on all your trading fees.

Algorand (ALGO) Passive Earnings
7.2557 ALGO (3.70$)

4. Band Protocol Staking Rewards

I kept my Band psoition at 250 BAND and just continue to compound the earnings from here on out. I like the Atomic wallet and also moved some on my Monero over there along with my ICX. It's also still possible to earn some free BAND now on Coinbase Earn

Band Protocol (BAND) Passive Earnings
3.04309 BAND (27.05$)

5. LEO Miner Rewards

I have done a great move (so far) buying the LEOM (See taking a closer look at Leo Miners) as I paid ~55$ for the 170 I own which now go for ~331$. They managed to mine 24.468 LEO in December which equals ~11.74$. I do believe LEO will cool down again at some point as the speculative value has too much of a gap compared to the current economical value of the token. For more on the Leofinance blogging platform, check leofinance.io/@costanza

LEO Miner Passive Earnings
24.468 LEO (11.74$)

6. SPT Delegation

I looked into the SPT which is the native token of the Splintertalk.io platform a while back (See A Closer Look Into Splintertalk.io (SPT) and continue to increase my holdings on a daily basis for as long as the price for 1 SPT is 0.0002$ or lower. All the SPT I bought on the market or earned from blogging, I instantly delegate to @monster-curator who pay out 100% of the curation rewards daily. I'm nearlt at 1 Million SPT at the moment as the price dipped quite a bit last month allowing me to stack some more at prices way below my maximum buy target. This very much can turn out into nothing but I do have a hunch it will get integrated into the Splinterlands Game exosystem at some point boosting the demand like crazy. Delegating my SPT brought in an extra 17218.271 SPT in last month which equals 3.1$

SPT Delegation Passive Earnings
17218.271 SPT (3.10$)

Coinbase Earn

More free money from Coinbase last month as they added Band Protcol and The Graph to Coinbase Earn. Most can be earned there by referring other people to also claim their free Band though. So if anyone doesn't have a coinbase account yet feel free to sing up with my link and claim BAND | COMP | XLM Thanks!

Coinbase Earn in December added up to 0.4674 BAND (4.10$) | 6.0478 GRT (3.00$)

Coinbase Earn Passive Earnings
0.4674 BAN (4.10$)
6.0478 GRT (3.00$)

Is amazing the different ways you have to earn passive income.

One of the caveats of using some of those platforms is KYC and capital gains taxes. It makes me stay away from them.

Yeah, from what I understand here in Belgium there are only taxes when crypto gets converted and I don't plan to do that anytime soon. It's one of those things I tend to put off and worry about later when the time comes.

Impressive to see that you earn that 700$ from passive sources. How long has it taken you to get to these numbers? :)

I started with crypto around Mid-2017, only in May 2019 I started to put some effort into actually growing and tracking passive earnings. It is quite addictive and fun to see things grow and compound month after month.

There's some nice returns - you must have a fair whack of BTC etc. stored in Blockfi and Celcius.

I'm reluctant to put so much in myself!

Yeah, I actually only have part of my holdings on lending platforms and keep part on my Ledger safe just sitting there without earning anything unfortunately and I will keep it that way. Most of my portfolio is BTC-ETH-LINK, especially with Link I got quite lucky on the run it went on.
