Hello Friends,

I am sure all the battlers are busy as the season end is approaching and battlers are busy battling it out to reach the leagues they want.
Unlike previous couple of seasons where in I was trying to be in top 10 in gold league to have some Untamed packs, I left that idea this season since it was too risky to stay in top 10.
The reason being, as I said in my last Weekly Challenge blog, a win with lower ranked players will give 3 rating points but a loss would cost approximately 30+ points.
So, I thought of keeping myself calm and try to reach my earlier goal of reaching Champions league and have those 50 extra chests to see if I can get some good cards or some packs as well.
The theme monster for this week is the monster one of our young battlers @yonilkar loves too much and it's none other than the Furious Chicken!!!

This battle was even more special one for me since 2 Yodin Zaku's were one against other in this battle and I had the satisfaction of beating a very high ranked player using my level 2 Yodin Zaku(although I guess the opponent's lineup was created by a bot)!!!!

Pretty similar stats for the Chicken unless it's leveled up to level 5 where in, we will see it having enrage ability and if it's leveled up to level 8 which is the max level, it will have 2 melee attack and also 2 speed.
The life remains same in all the levels and it's just 1 life.

The battle of Yodin Zakus was setup nicely with a MANA cap of 30 and more importantly, it had the rule sets which are best suited for the level of Yodin Zaku I have and the rule sets were Equalizer(my favorite) and Reverse Speed.
For this fierce battle, I used 2 melee monsters, a magic monster and remaining 3 ranged attack monsters to utilize the benefit of inspired ranged attack by Yodin Zaku. with lineup as below:

Lineup:

1. Furious Chicken:

The Reverse Speed and Equalizer rule sets made me to use this Zero MANA cost monster at the front position as I wanted to use as many ranged attack monsters as possible in the given 30 MANA cap and hence, Furious Chicken was a good choice for front position.

2. Kobold Miner:

Used this sneak attack monster to keep an eye on the monsters used at the end of the lineup.

3. Zalran Efreet:

image.png

Zalran Efreet was crucial in keeping the second line alive with it's Life Leech ability as it kept leeching lives and protected the ranged attack monsters to stay alive in the battle.

4. Fire Beetle:

First of the 3 ranged attack monsters and each of these played their part in this battle against opponent's Yodin Zaku and it's monsters.
This is also a snipe attack monster and hence, will keep an eye on ranged and magic attack monsters from second line.

5. Pyromancer:

This is a low speed, yet powerful monster with ranged attack of 3+1 because of Yodin Zaku and this was crucial in this win.

6. Cyclops:

Last but more significant one is this monster with single speed and again 3+1 attack as in case of Pyromancer.

Opponent's usage of Yodin Zaku made this battle more interesting and his lineup included Peaceful Giant, Grumpy Dwarf, Beetle Queen, Goblin Shaman, Centaur and Fire Beetle.

Battle:

Round 1, 2 and 3:

None of the monsters got removed until round 3 thanks to opponent's usage of Peaceful Giant as that made all the monsters to gain 15 life since this was an Equalizer battle.
In round 3, as many as 3 monsters got removed with opponent losing Peaceful Giant and Grumpy Dwarf and from my end, the Kobold Miner got removed.
Furious Chicken still held up the front position and justified it's usage at the front position.

Round 4:

Furious Chicken, the theme monster got removed in this round bringing Zalran Efreet to the front.

Round 5:

We saw 2 monsters losing out in this round with both of them from opponent's side with Beetle Queen and Goblin Shaman getting removed.

Round 6 and 7:

The 2 remaining monsters for opponent, Centaur and Fire Beetle couldn't pose much threat to the monsters remaining on my side and by round 7, both got removed and that was a bit easy win for me.

Questions and Answers:

Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?

Yes, it worked good inspite of opponent's usage of Yodin Zaku and the reverse speed rule set seemed like favored my lower level monsters.
I don't think any other monster would have been better than the Furious Chicken I used at the front position as it protected other monsters and also kept 1 + 1 blast attack until it got removed in round 4.

Do I like the FURIOUS CHICKEN? Why or why not?

Oh yeah, definitely I like this Zero MANA cost monster as I always try to use that whenever there is a vacant position especially in low MANA cap battles.

That was a nice battle, don't you agree with me?
Yodin Zaku's from both side inspired their monsters, but I had an upper hand because of Furious Chicken isn't it? Well, that was the case and opponent's lesser usage of ranged attack monsters also might have helped me more in this win.

Wishing all Happy Sunday and nice weekend :)
