How I "mined" HIVE with NICEHASH using Lightning Wallet by brianoflondon

Just under 2 weeks ago I saw this post https://peakd.com/lightning/@brianoflondon/lightning-payments-to-hive-accounts-are-now-live by @brianoflondon. He made sure that we can exchange BTC to HIVE via lightningwallet! Some time ago, when my 1080Ti was still profitable, I mined a bit via Nicehash. At some point the news came that free withdrawals to Coinbase are no longer possible. Those who know Nicehash that the withdrawal fees hurt. Now I have decided to leave the nearly 150K Satoshis at Nicehash until another solution comes to mind. Nicehash has now the payout option via Lightning Transfer - without fee! The exchanges I use don't offer Lightning yet - so I still didn't had a solution for the dilemma.

But now I can finally cash out my Satoshis and not only that, I can directly buy HIVE with it! Since HIVE is under 1$ again, the time was quite favorable for me!

If you still have some Satoshis at Nicehash (payout possible from 2000 Satohis via Lightning - exchange them for HIVE!)

How? I'll explain it here!

You have to go to https://lnd.v4v.app/hive and enter your username, or the name to which account you want to receive your HIVE's in exchange for Satoshis. After that you have to choose an exchange size - in my case 100000 Satoshis, this is also the current maximum! Larger amounts have to be split over several transactions.

In the optional memo you can enter anything but NOT your MEMO-KEY! YOU DON'T NEED KEYS!!!

If you clicked on HIVE or HBD, a QR code will appear with your profile picture in the middle. Just click on the picture and your INVOICE will be copied. The Invoice is the transaction address, this is needed so that the network knows where the transaction should go!

Screenshot of Nicehash

Now we have to go to our Nicehash-Wallet and click on "Withdrawal"
Nun müsst ihr die Nicehash-Wallet Webseite aufrufe. Dort klickt ihr auf "Withdrawal".

Bildschirmfoto 2022-04-10 um 15.17.45.png

Screenshot from Nicehash

A new window opens where we select "Withdraw to" "Withdraw to Lightning Wallet (BTC)". Now we have to select the same amount as on ind.v4v.app/hive. In my case 100000 or 0.001 BTC! This is important because your Invoice is for this amount! If you have entered only 20000 above, you must now also enter 0.0002! Now copy your Invoice Code from your clipboard. As a reminder just click on the QR-Code from ind.v4v.app/hive and it will be copied to your clipboard!

Click on "Review Withdraw".

In meinem Fall 100000 bzw. 0.001 BTC!

Screenshot from Nicehash

Now you have to confirm the transaction! As you can see the Nicehash transaction fees are 0! You can check the transaction fees of v4v.app here https://lnd.v4v.app/info (At the time of this post: 200 Sats + 0.8%)

Screenshot from my HIVE Wallet

After only a few seconds/minutes, Nicehash sometimes needs some time, the HIVE's are on your account!

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you for trying it out! Everything seems to have worked smoothly though I will tell you that your very first small transfer was actually a little slow :-) I was right in the middle of upgrading something when it came in so it was delayed by 30s or so.

The service is awesome!
Ah, I did not notice, cause Nicehash already told me the processing time could be several minutes! The second transaction was less than 10 secs.
I am going to use it more often in the future for sure!

Hi there you sent 5 Hive but there was no lightning invoice in the message. Let me know what you're trying to do. In the meantime I will send back the Hive.

I've realised I actually need to write some new code for doing refunds like this (which won't mess up my accounting system).

Let me know what you were trying to do and in the meantime I will refund soon if that's what you want.

Actually I tried to send some fund into nicehash using lightning network. It's seems i did something wrong 😬.

You need to get a lightning invoice which will be a long string of text starting with 'lnbc'. That's the invoice which you paste into my site and the bot pays.

I will reverse your 5 Hive soon. I need to test a few things first.

I just sent the refund :-) You wouldn't know it, but behind the scenes that was quite a bit of work I knew I'd have to do at some point but I hadn't done yet. Glad it's done now.

Innovations such as this just speaks high volume of how deeply resourceful certain individuals on here rack their gumption day in day out to make activities on the blockchain worthwhile , purposeful and most importantly stress free.

Whoever is directly controlling the V2K told me to kill myself.
They told me if I killed myself now it would save the lives of countless others.
Saying the longer I wait to kill myself the more people will suffer.

They are reckless and should have shown the proper media what they had before taking me hostage for 5 years. I know there are many in prison that dont deserve to be there because of this. Your stay in prison will not be fun @battleaxe and friends. People are going to want you dead when they find out what you did. I hope you die a slow painful death. You sick mother fuckers.

Its a terrorist act on American soil while some say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic and foreign threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and tell them about the day you asked me why. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control with ill intent. How do we protect locked up soldiers from telling the truth?

what amazes me most about this, is the rewards...
well, I already in the know that a decent skills of photographer is zero - in comparison with this juicy 'financial consulting' thing, but still... shocked and cannot but feel amazed...
btw! you may congratulate me - two months ago I finally managed to obtain a second-handed 1070ti, and finally upgraded my old girlfriend -- 550ti. exactly before the shit went onto the propeller and we have the prices doubled again... (so, I can enter finally some games I could not launch before - right now I am in the middle of Dishonored-2 walkthru.... that gives a slight hint about my rare blogging recently, haha).
so, I never was involved into mining and dont have any Satoshis, as you can imagine. but still -- feel free to share with me some of your crypto transactions know-how's, I will appreciate that 😎

!BEER ?..

Yes it is insane! I never expected such a high rewards. It's two times the amount my highest post ever did!

That's awesome! So congratulations to you! The 1070Ti is an awesome card - you will have a lot of fun with it! Bought mine 1080Ti 4 years ago for around 780€ which I could sell it now! Pretty sure you will make a pretty good deal too if you ever decide to upgrade again.

My know how is not really big I am afraid. Mostly I try to keep transaction costs as low as possible and I like the concept of mining mostly because of the tweaking part. I never made huge amounts with it. But for example 2 years ago most of our heaters were electrical with 2KWH per Hour, so I used some old graphic cards to mine and heat my room : https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@chrislybear/how-i-managed-to-reduce-my-energy-net-costs-in-europe-with-crypto

To tweak a card to make around 26 Mh's while only using 60 Watts and running stable were a lot of trial and error. Had a lot of fun doing so :D

Thanks for the BEER, and we also need

!PIZZA ?

yes, !PIZZA is always good why not?
afraid I am not tech savvy... not going into tweaking of VGA.
but I'd appreciate any advices on 'downgrading' it to lower the heat / high temperature... ( at this point it is apparently about 60-68C in-game, and about 40C when no 'heavy games' are running. )

From what I know that downgrading a NVIDIA Card for gaming mostly ends with crashs. Mining only uses the compute mode so you can basicly shut down a lot of grqphics feature while mining. But for gaming it mostly crashs after some time. When I mined I used MSI Afterburner to decrease the wattage, mostly I forgot the revoke the settings and started to play Fallout 4. 30 mins into the game and I got a blue screen :D

But you can check your chip quality by using GPU-Z and click on Read ASIC Quality. It will show you the quality of your card.

For example I have 2x RX480 and 2x RX470 - one of the 470 hss only 67% which means I got a bad chip and in fact while tweaking it, it often crashed. On the other hand I got a RX 480 with 98% and that bad boy it reliable as hell!

Please, I'll like to know, what is a 1080Ti and how was it profitable?

It's a Graphics Cards from Nvidia. Last year when ETH difficulty was lower and the fees higher I made a profit by mining via Nicehash.
