Well, it looks like the acquisition of STEEM by Sun was just a disaster. The worst thing is that we lost our devs. I wonder if 270k SBD in SPS would allow us to finnish the SMTs (that's a lot of acronyms:).
In my wildest dreams Sun will be unable to quit and will have to start to actually listen to us and work with witnesses to make STEEM better.

Yes that is the hardest part to accept @cardboard. They knew what was going on and how to take SMTs to completion.
Now, I do not think there is much chance it gets rolled out unless someone from the outside takes the code and completes it.

From what I've been told, SMTs are almost done. They found some issue during testing. We could hire them through SPS to finish SMTs.
