Nice write up! Enjoyed reading about it. I actually had a wee bit of trouble signing onto Hive because I had at some point in the distant past had a steemit account. Apparently it transferred to Hive. I wish I had worked just a bit harder to get into back then.

if you have a steem account it is still there, and it should have generated a hive account automatically with the same keys
