3 Years - Recap

Today is a 3 year mark from the time i got my keys. You know you had to wait for 2-3 weeks to get your account back in the day? Crazy right? Who would ever wait 3 weeks for his account? Well now you can get it instantly, even sign up with your Twitter or Metamask.

They say that time in crypto runs differently than "normal" time. And i think they are right. It feels like it was at lest 10 years that i spent here not 3.

We, as a community went through a lot in these 3 years that i been here. From just one frontend owned by steemit inc, waiting for them to do something, Ned playing his guitar and promising things he never intended to finish, selling his company and ninja mined stake to Justin. Justin trying to centralize the network with his sock puppet witnesses, creation of Hive, then the events that should have at least a mini series with the stealing attempt and the Robin Hood rescue attempt to everything that is happening now...

Does that feel like just 3 years?

There are complaints that not much is happening on Hive. And yes, there could always be more, but i am sure there is no user here that knows about all the development that is happening.

From the PeakD constant development, ecency constantly working on web and desktop app, dapplr mobile app, leofinance with their work on the community, apps and development, 3speak published an IPFS deskop app for decentralized video (tokenomics are on their way), NFTShowroom for cryptoart and there are at least 20-30 frontends that i did not mention or that i don't even know about.

And that is just social media part of Hive. Splinterlands, RisingStar, Dcity, Crypto Brewmaster, Rabona... and all the other games that don't know about.

And a shit ton of dapps that i don't even understand :D

So 3 years ago i knew nothing about crypto and all the possibilist of the technology. Becoming the member of Hive community helped me to learn a lot. It could be that i am in the bubble but i think there is no better place to enter crypto world then Hive.

Thanks to all of you that made this place to feel like home. I first thought this post will be a tag fest of all the people that had an influence on my Hive journey, but emotional tag fest will happen some other time.

Hope i will see you all here in 10 years in the place that has the same home feeling but much much bigger.

I could write few more pages, but it is my birthday, so i am off to eat some cake :)
