Greetings friends!

Our round-the-world cruise dropped anchor in Vietnam and this anchor got stuck deep in the ground.

It is difficult to leave a country that has given the world a huge number of interesting postage stamps.

One gets the impression that the printing presses, in Vietnam, never had a rest, constantly, new series of postage stamps were printed, which, for the most part, were sent to the Soviet Union and other countries of the Commonwealth.

I think it is very difficult to find new themes for postage stamps when their production is on stream.

Typically, postage stamps depict the property of the country that issues this series.

If we are talking about animals, then, sometimes, you can see animals that live in the zoos of this country, and this series is dedicated to the anniversary of this zoo.

But, on the next series of postage stamps issued in 1981 in Vietnam, we see the animal world, the series got its name - World wild animals.

These animals have nothing to do with Vietnam, this is just a colorful solution that should have attracted the attention of philatelists.

The first postage stamp in this series depicts European Bison (Bison bonasus).

European Bison (Bison bonasus), never lived in Vietnam.

This postage stamp received a face value of 30 Vietnamese xu.
