Chasing Targets | Hive Power Up Day (October 1, 2020)

The night is still young, on a UAE Weekend, but I feel so drained already. My day was spent mostly outside - a lot of driving and walking! Grocery run, a beating the weekend rush for embassy and immigration works, oh, it was indeed an exhausting day.

But guess what, despite all my mambo jumbo of the day, one thing didn't slip my mind.

It's Hive Power Up Day!

I just cannot miss that exercise of powering up every 1st of the month anymore since I started in June this year. My account has steadily grown since then, almost doubled, in fact. Doing these monthly power up posts let sit down and reflect on what I have achieved so far and what my immediate and long term Hive goals are.

This month, @hiveph community has teamed up with #hivepud spearheaded by @traciyork. Basically, the idea is just to power up every first of the month, along with the wide community. What's in it for you? Well, you get to increase your Hive Power (HP), and who knows, you just might win some juicy prizes too!

Let's Power Up!

Honestly, I thought I won't have enough Hive to power up today. I've only got around 5 Hive in my wallet and I didn't want to buy more using my HBD from post rewards. So I checked my Hive Engine wallet, sold some tokens, and voila! 73 Hive!

I'm so happy that from 1631.879 HP when I joined the HivePUD in June, I ended September with 3,123.139 HP. Almost doubled! Yey. These are all from rewards and curation, apart from the 45 HP that I powered up last month from my remaining power down from the old blockhain.

I have exceeded my target last month of 10% account growth, and reached 12.34%. Amaaazzinggg!

Nonetheless, I want to start with a round figure this month, so I powered up 77 Hive to get up to 3,200.202.

October, Bring It On!

October has started quite busy IRL, and there is no doubt how hectic it's going to be in the coming weeks with homeschool stuff and all. That said, I'm trying to stay consistent in producing quality (you be the judge, LOL) content on a regular basis (daily or every other day).

I also noticed that my curation APR was quite poor in the first weeks of September (thanks to Hivestats.io, I can keep track of this), so I am now shifting to more manual curation. So far, I have increased my APR by 2%. Hopefully, this will still improve in the coming days.

Again, I am putting a bold 10% growth target this month. Why not, right? As they say, aim high!
