Wow. If I am not mistaken, I thought ticket price used to be somewhere around 50 Decred years ago (not sure).
I hold a small amount and had previously had an ASIC (Obelisk DCR1) which I had gutted to mine SC due to unprofitability compared to other miners.
I still have the chips if things change though so guess it would be a good reason for me to keep my eyes on this. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

That sounds about right. When I bought my first ticket in early 2019, it was about 100DCR for a ticket. If you have any DCR, it now allows you to get partial tickets (ticket splitting), which might be worth looking into.
