@ahmadmanga's Financial Goals for 2021

avatar

This article is my entry to @theycallmedan's initiative: #FinancialGoals2021. (Announcement Link!) I'll talk about what I think of my finance in 2020, what's my goals in 2021. The cryptocurrencies I'll invest in, and finally about my version of "invest in yourself."

I will only talk about my online situation here, which is basically are my only earnings. (Though I do a few things for money in real life, they're nothing notable.)

Looking Back on 2020

The previous year 2020 was one of the years I earned the most online. Despite lacking motivation to write in summer, I'm proud of my level of writing & the articles I've posted in it.

In the recent months I've was introduced to DBuzz & Read.cash. The former increased my engagement on HIVE and proved to me the value in microblogging, while the latter is turning into another income stream for me.

I currently cross-post my articles on both Read.cash and HIVE, with each of them having exclusives once in a while.

My Financial Plan for 2021

This year I want to expand my reach to other platforms. I want to discover places that I could repurpose my content in.

There are also the platforms that I'm a part of but don't usually use: I'm already a member of Publish0x, Steemit and Blurt. For time constraints I don't post in them as often as I like.

Steemit community might not be alive anymore but you don't know what the future holds so unless I'm banned I want to keep backing up my older posts in it. As for Blurt, I'm thinking about a unique theme for my content there.

I also want to create video content. I don't want to use my real face and/or voice though. I have three ideas for video content without feeling embarrassed about my recorded voice. I already tested @DTube for this and I'm planning to test @threeSpeak next, but the platform I really want to try for this is LBRY. I need to spare a day or two for it!

My Online Money Goals:

My first goal is to be able to secure $150 monthly online income by the end of the year. This doesn't include stacked money like HP, only the liquid earnings.

With my current level: it's an achievable goal. I almost earned that much in December, (I was lucky.) My goal is to reach a level of quality that makes this amount a recurring thing.

I have a vague road-map for this. Using my writing in all the platforms mentioned above. It depends on luck. I also need to be able to write a good post at least five times a week, which can't be possible in some of the upcoming months due to Libyan blackout patterns.

My Hive Goals

  • I want to be able to earn at least $60 per month in "liquid" HIVE alone. I can achieve this much when I write multiple high-quality articles that get curated. Another way is to publish two articles per day while keeping/improving the quality at the same time.

  • My other goal that I don't know if I can achieve this year is staking 10,000 HP in @ahmadmanga account. #HivePUD will help. I don't know if I can achieve this, especially if HIVE price increased, though I'm confident I'll have $1000 in HP by the end of the year.

Investment Goals

As a part of the initiative. @theycallmedan aksed a few questions that I didn't touch on above.

  • Which is going to be your investment strategy for 2021?

Other than writing articles, I want to keep a small percentage of money in Crypto coins that I'm confident will become big the future.

  • Do you have any specific assets that you want to invest in?

    • Bitcoin (It's hyped too much to ignore...)
    • BitcoinCash (A very nice community.)
    • HIVE (Undervalued/ A community I believe in.)
    • ETH (I believe it'll soar with every ETH2 update.)
  • Hive-engine Tokens:

    • LEO: Of course, the biggest hive sub-community.
    • LIST: I like the leader @thelogicaldude
    • STEM: Love the topics of this community.
  • NFTs:

    • Splinterlands Cards/Lands/Items (I trust this game to stay valuable.)
    • dCity (Will update it every now and then~)
    • Hope make art pieces for NFTShowroom & Rarible.
  • Do you have a plan or a set of goals on how to use and grow your stake?

It's not much of a plan than a guideline. My workflow is chaotic. I want to learn how to manage my chaos without restricting myself with too much order, because the latter kills my motivation.

Personal Growth

Another thing I hope to invest in this year is myself. I want to learn more skills and acquire more knowledge that I can apply. I recently heard about Mind-mapping and I plan on investing time to learn how to do it!

A.R.T

The final thing I want to invest in, is art! I don't necessarily mean #NFT, I want to go back to drawing art pieces as I don't remember drawing any notable one at all in 2020. My pen is getting rusty and I hope to fix that soon~

Hope for a Better Year

The year 2020 was rough, but it was one of the best years for me financially. I learned so much in it, and while I didn't fix any of my 'personal' problems, I became more aware of them and more accepting of trying to fix them.

I wish something better will make 2021 better! Someone recently reminded me that one should "Work hard at working smart," I usually only do one of those two at a time. With God's help, I'll make 2021 the year I do both at all times!
