I believe we started out about at the same time... as you said when SIM prices started to go south... Well your city has definitely a nicer geographical location because it grew about twice as fast as mine LOL.
I aslo see dcity rather as an investement than a game. I like the mathematical aspect of it. Honestly I believe it's always a good idea to profit from price dips. If we reinvest sim into new cards, it will allow us to climb the ladder and earn more Hive.

Mine is located on the seaside... You know how they say in real estate agencies... location, location, location... lol... :)
Oh, I have a Google spreadsheet with calculations for population number, compared with price, roi, etc... lol... :) And, I agree about buying dips, but only if there will be some additions to the game, as, like this, it will not survive by raising the taxes until 100%?

I think it's a good example of how reducing the inflation doesn't necessarily mean increasing the price of a good. If taxes get too high, people loose interest in the game and they start to sell their stuff. It's a delicate balance but it's dangerous to keep reducing the inflation all the time.
