AskLeo - To what extent will microblogging affect blogging's traffic and presence on Leofinance?

Will Leofinance microblogging shadow the main, mostly blogging oriented app, that we're currently using?

It's a question that crossed my mind a few minutes ago while diving through noise.cash. I see this app as a training one for when Leofinance will have its own. I know, it's nice collecting some BCH rewards shitposting, but still... project _________ is what my imagination flies towards most of the time.

We don't know all the details about it and it's probably better to be that way, but one thing is clear, the demand for microblogging is here and @taskmaster4450le has already proven that through a series of posts with an account he has created solely for this purpose. The engagement on such posts is real and not to be overlooked.

Most of us use twitter for years, I mean I have it since 2016 I guess, but my share of content creation on this blockchain beats ass to my twitting share easily. My tribe is here and it's easy to get why I'm not that active on twiter though.

I've been quite soaked up by noise.cash lately, I tell you, and I can only imagine how wrecking the project __________ will be. I was wondering though to what extent will microblogging affect regular blogging on Leofinance?

I'm pondering on this one from two perspectives actually. One is that some of us will be more incentivized to be active in here(Leofinance) via small chunks of content at the speed of DB lightning and the other is that for the ones that will stick to regular types of posts, audience and engagement might fade away.

We don't know exactly how project ________ will work, whether it will have a different app or not, how the tokenomics will look like and how welcomed will it be by most of us here. Not all are into shitposting you know...

Doesn't mean that shitposting shouldn't be seen as respectable type of content though, but it's not what we're used to. Curious to read your takes on how microblogging would affect true blogging on Leofinance and hope this post to ignite some engagement.

Thanks for attention,
Adrian

It's pretty clear to me that the new microbogging platform will be much more popular than the current blogging platform. If it is easy to earn through whatever system Khal sets up, users will use that one. Blogging is no match for shortform content.

We'll see... For the moment it seems that the demand for short type of content is here. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Agreed. I'd like to add that while researching for publishing the posts on Leofinance, we come across the information which don't require a detail post, I think, with microblogging we'll be able to share those information/s with others under a minute.

Of course, that is what most of the Internet traffic (outside of porn) is. Very few are serious content creators. Many are willing to post a quick thought or forward a meme or picture.

How it will work is just like twitter. It will have a similar layout from what I understand and will truly be twitter on blockchain. All the is done through the ______________ app will show up in your comments.

It will serve two purposes. We will see Leofinance cleaned up due to the fact that the short form posts will have a place to go and be rewarded. Project _______________ will also serve as a feeder system, hopefully, into Leofinance. Perhaps a few of the bigger bloggers out there will join the _________ app and then learn about Leofinance.

This will all be interesting to see how it unfolds.

i think the "hard" thing will be to determine how users will get paid and that to be equal with the ones here on LEO. For example, i bet that if a user will earn the same amount or leo in LEO with his 500+ words posts compared to 1-2 sentences in the new microblogging app, the vast majority will leave LEO

I doubt that. No matter how fun it is to tweet I still feel like blogging once in a while.

even if that's you or me it's a human trait that we tend to look for the easier way and if we earn money with "less effort" then all with burst in here!

I personally believe that the Leo microblogs will be huge. I don't lurk around Twitter often but given how many is there and how much fun we're now having at noise.cash, put them together at project ______ that's combo hit.

It's all a bit overwhelming for a newbie here on Leo Finance, to be honest. I'm down for the _______ format that is being described in this post and in the comments, but I just hope I can learn enough and cover enough ground to keep up when both platforms are up and running. And there's a governance token too, and I'm hearing about airdrops through the grapevine. All very, very cool... but holy shit. You know? 🤨 lol

You don't have to stick your nose in everything. Just what you like.

For sure... I won't be diving head-first into everything, but microblogging is definitely something I'm interested in. Governance isn't really on my radar yet... airdrop though? Is LBI the gov token people are talking about?
