Have a good day everyone! It’s been a while since my last post here so hope I am still welcome here? I paused on this entry by @marblely when I was searching on what to post. You know I was a bit disorganized after the sudden demise of our 16 days old baby last Monday yet. It broke our hearts and it pains me looking at my daughter watching over her baby. It’s a sight I never wish to happen again. Anyways, am here trying to pick the pieces once again to at least divert my attention to other matters.
The photo above is a grocery section where my granddaughter, Antonia loves to roam around and look for her favorite crunchy chips and chocolates. There are small tables beside where you can sit while waiting for the kids to do their little shopping. There’s a stand for hot Siopao if you like. The good thing is that there is a separate stand where you can pay your bills online. It’s very conducive in this time of quarantine.

On the other corner, I buy my favorite red wine once in a while too.

As for kitchen and food stuffs, my favorite section is the wet market. Since we’re still undergoing home quarantine, I see to it that I buy my favorite dried fish. It’s a Pinoy delicacy as a side dish and an appetizer. It’s advantageous to store this because it’s already dried and salted which could last for days.

The red egg is a salted egg, hence it’s colored to differentiate it from the fresh ones. Salted eggs were processed using duck’s or goose’ eggs because it has thick shells compared to chicken eggs. You only need to peel off the shells and slice it with sliced fresh tomatoes and onions with hot vinegar and lemon. It will last for a week or so.

Dried shrimps and shrimp pastes are one of the preserved foods that I store in the ref. I can easily fry it with spices just in case I haven’t done my shopping. You see, we have different shopping schedules here to avoid crowding. Social distancing is strictly imposed in our locality.

This is our fresh vegetable section. It’s locally produced. We need to eat healthy foods to keep us going during this time of pandemic.

These fresh squids can be cooked in adobo style to make it last for days when refrigerated.
How about you guys, how did you cope with your life during home-quarantine?

Thanking @marblely for this contest, and my thanks to the CCC Community. God bless us all.

Till then,

@Sarimanok

So sorry to hear that @sarimanok. I know how excited you were with the baby's arrival. Thank you for still joining us despite it all.
That is quite a market you have there. Salted eggs are really yummy with white porridge. Stay strong and stay well there.

Yeah, fate can be so cruel. He was not able to use the huggy pillows I made for him and I was not able to carry him in my arms it breaks my heart how much more for his mom.
