Flor de la Parchita

                                             Blancos pétalos
                                                          mirando al sol
                                             aún en tierras inhóspitas;
                                             útero prodigioso
                                             para el fruto de la pasión.

                                             Singular belleza tropical
                                             de simetría pentarradial,
                                             Passiflora es tu género
                                             que Linneo con precisión,
                                             desde mil setecientos cincuenta y tres,
                                                              a esta planta otorgó.

                                             Y Dios también
                                                          posó sus manos
                                             en esta delicada flor
                                             dando similitud
                                             a la corona espinosa
                                                          que su hijo
                                             en la cabeza
                                             cargó.

                                             Noble flor, espejo radiante,
                                             ante tu beldad
                                                          me inclino
                                             anhelante de tu fruto
                                             con el sabor Divino.
