Destruction Los Angeles /review

Me encantan las películas de desastres naturales, cuando escogí ver esta pense que era sobre algún ataque terrorista, incluso dentro de la temática de la misma se llega a pensar eso, sin embargo me di cuenta que realmente era un fenómeno natural; un desastre provocado por una erupción de volcán que acabó con miles de vidas.

I love movies about natural disasters when I chose to watch this one I thought it was about some terrorist attack, even within the theme of the movie you get to think that, however, I realized that it was really a natural phenomenon; a disaster caused by a volcano eruption that killed thousands of lives.

El inicio de esta película es un poco directo, pues hacen un flashback de lo que veremos en el desarrollo de la trama. Como les había comentado, se pensó que había sido un ataque terrorista por la explosión que hubo en un centro comercial, también se pensó que las tuberías de gas estaban presentando alguna fuga, lo cual sería alarmante teniendo en cuenta que en toda la ciudad hay de esas tuberías.

The beginning of this movie is a bit direct, as it is a flashback of what we will see in the development of the plot. As I mentioned before, it was thought to be a terrorist attack due to the explosion in a shopping mall, it was also thought that the gas pipes were leaking, which would be alarming considering that there are such pipes all over the city.

En cuanto a otros temas interesantes y un poco incomodo está el de una familia con ciertas circunstancias especiales, un hijo con una enfermedad o condición que no se deja claro cual es, y un matrimonio que está irremediablemente roto, pero cuyos hijos desconocen que se está llevando a cabo ya un papeleo formal para la separación.

As for other interesting and somewhat uncomfortable topics, there is a family with certain special circumstances, a child with a disease or condition that is not made clear what it is, and a marriage that is irretrievably broken, but whose children are unaware that formal paperwork for separation is already underway.

Cuando se piensa que nada peor puede pasar, sucede un primer terremoto que alerta aún más a las personas, incluso yo llegué a pensar que había ocurrido algunas explosiones extras, siendo que se especulaba sobre una fuga de gas, sin embargo, se dejó ver que era un simple movimiento telúrico y que solo había que esperar las otras réplicas y todo estaría bien.

Just when you think that nothing worse can happen, the first earthquake happens and alerts people, even more, even I thought that there had been some extra explosions, being that there was speculation about a gas leak, however, it became clear that it was a simple telluric movement and that we only had to wait for the other aftershocks and everything would be fine.

Entre copas y champán, y una fiesta entre amigos para la celebración de un disco, sucede un nuevo terremoto pero más corto con un fuerte sonido en la cual se deja ver una gran explosión. Aún se maneja el indicio de gas e incluso de un posible ataque terrorista por parte de los medios, sin embargo, aquellos que estaban cerca del incidente pudieron notar que se trataba de un volcán en actividad, y mucho más cuando empieza a caer la lluvia de rocas calientes en la ciudad.

Between the drinks and champagne, and a party among friends for the celebration of a record, a new earthquake occurs but shorter with a loud sound in which a large explosion is seen. There is still the suggestion of gas and even a possible terrorist attack by the media, however, those who were close to the incident could notice that it was an active volcano, and much more when the rain of hot rocks begins to fall on the city.

Como todo, el desespero y la tensión se hace presente, e incluso se pierden vidas humanas y cosas materiales. Siendo todo un caos, empiezan las revueltas en la ciudad por la supervivencia, todo colapsa y todos velan por si mismos para no morir.

As with everything, desperation and tension sets in, and even human lives and material things are lost. Everything being in chaos, revolts begin in the city for survival, everything collapses and everyone watches over themselves so as not to die.

Todo esto hace ver que tanto ricos como pobres pueden perderlo todo, y sentir la misma angustia, el dinero no salva a nadie en momentos así, sin embargo hay un punto en la película que puedes llegar a pensar en eso, puesto que la familia obtienen una ayuda que no se les da a cualquier ciudadano.

All this makes you see that both rich and poor can lose everything, and feel the same anguish, money does not save anyone in times like this, however, there is a point in the film that you can get to think about it since the family gets the help that is not given to any citizen.

Entre tanto, vemos que a pesar de todo, la pareja se da cuenta que aun hay amor entre ambos, tuvo que pasar algo tan fuerte así para darse cuenta que son el uno para el otro. Y es algo que se demuestra, puesto que uno de ellos se sacrifica al momento de que el helicóptero da la señal de sobrepeso de personas. Ya las calles estaban inundadas de lava, todo lo que toca se derrite y desaparece por lo que el único escape es por aire.

In the meantime, we see that despite everything, the couple realizes that there is still love between them, it took something so strong like this to realize that they are right for each other. And it is something that shows since one of them sacrifices himself when the helicopter gives the signal of overweight people. Already the streets were flooded with lava, everything it touches melts and disappears so the only escape is to air.

El final es inesperado, puesto que nos hace pensar lo peor, sin embargo parece que tuviera un doble sentido, o no se si son cosas mías, tendrias que verla y opinar ustedes sobre ello.

The ending is unexpected since it makes us think the worst, however it seems to have a double meaning, or I don't know if it's just me, you'll have to watch it and give your opinion about it.
