Review - Mank from Netflix | A classic modern movie [ENG] /[ESP]
This film is directed by David Fincher and starring an impeccable Gary Oldman, Mank tells the story of how the script of what for many is the best film in history was written. "Citazen Kane" script that was written by Mank who was a very intellectual and eloquent person a great movie script writer but with serious alcoholism problems. La gracia de esta película, que es muy recomendable, esta en que te sumerge en la década de los 1930, recordemos que ciudadano Kane se estrena en 1941 y la película nos narra como Mank termina trabajando con Orson Wells director de esa película.

Para lograr sumergirnos en esa época el director escogió hacer la película en blanco y negro , pero no por esto la película pierde belleza por el contrario tiene planos muy hermosos , a pesar de estar en blanco y negro es moderna en muchos aspectos , no recrearon al 100% la técnicas de esa época , por el contrario incluyeron algunas escenas CGI , así que es una mezcla de lo antiguo y lo nuevo , a mí me parece que le da una belleza hipnotizante a esta película.

Por otro lado la película tiene un matiz político durante todo el metraje , esto no se trata de superación ni de amor , esta es una película política , creo que el director busca explicar cómo hoy en día se sufre de los mismos problemas que en la década de 1930 , temas como la censura el abuso de poder por parte de los estudios , el comunismo en Hollywood en esa época , la verdad temas bastantes complejos , pero al que se le da mas importancia es al que inspira a Mank a escribir el guion , que es el tema de los medios de comunicación y como estos afectaron el resultado de una elección.

Mank es una película bella y un poco pesada de ver , un homenaje al cine que si te dejas llevar , disfrutaras de toda la elocuencia del personaje de Mank protagonizado por un genial Gary Oldman, una película que nos narra la vida de un hombre idealista y de como a pesar de ser un genio y escribir el mejor guion de la historia , fue destruido por este mismo guion , por su ideal , por no callarse , por luchar a su manera de lo que él creía injusto.
