Today, I am bringing you an anime of Satoshi Kon, an anime movie director recognized by his films Perfect Blue, Paprika y Millennium Actress, known films to have a strong plot and difficult ideas to understand, but we are not here to talk about those films, we are here to talk about this anime, so without further ado... let's begin!✨

Synopsis

In Japan, there is a strange boy called "Shonen Bat", it's like "The guy with the bat", who is attacking random persons around the city.

The first victim is Sagi Tsukiko, a girl who designed Maromi the Dog, something as a teddy of the company where she works. The work has been pressing Sagi to create a new teddy, with the same o more fame than Maromi, and she is trying to make that but it is not too easy. Well, a day when she is coming back home, she is attacked by this boy, who is described as a 5th or 6th grade student, with golden roller skates and a golden bat.

When she wakes up, she is at a hospital and a couple of policemen are asking her who is the raider. When it is happening, a reporter is searching for good notices.

Saki is accused of being a liar, and it makes her feel bad, but it demonstrates those persons are wrong when a second victim appears.

Why am I recommending this anime?

This anime is a psychological thriller when you can see a critic of our society, how pressure can make you do bad things, how gossips run faster than light, how some people can see just for themselves, and more things that you can search in this anime.

Paranoia Agent explains how social problems are spread around people, and it is focused in Japan, but you can see that in every country of this world.

An anime that I don't understand in the beginning, but I think that I should be watched for many persons to debate about the messages.

It's an anime of 2004 so the animation is a little poor but is enough to transmit the emotions they want to transmit. Talking about the opening and the ending, are really weird if you watch that without context but when you know what you are watching, it is really deep.
