Fear Street Part 3: 1666 - Film Review [ESP/ENG]
Un camino de revelaciones será el acto final para detener una mortal maldición... "Fear Street Part 3: 1666"
Desde hace ya tres semanas, Netflix estrenó la trilogía de películas basadas en los libros escritos por R. L. Stine, historias que no solo hacen justicia a esta serie de libros sino también rinden homenaje a el género de terror, creando historias divertidas, con buenas muertes, buenos asesinos y excelentes sobrevivientes; tres historias que tiene de base un pueblo y sus habitantes víctimas de una maldición que parece que no tiene fin; ya hemos sido testigos de dos buenas historias de terror con mucha influencia del género slasher, ahora es tiempo de darle paso a los sobrenatural y que sea el que define este acto final de "Fear Street".

As of three weeks ago, Netflix released the trilogy of films based on the books written by R. L. Stine, stories that not only do justice to this series of books but also pay tribute to the horror genre, creating fun stories, with good deaths, good killers and excellent survivors; three stories that has as a base a town and its inhabitants victims of a curse that seems to have no end; we have already witnessed two good horror stories with a lot of influence of the slasher genre, now it is time to give way to the supernatural and that is the one that defines this final act of "Fear Street".
Tal como sucedió con la segunda parte, "Fear Street 1666" es una continuación directa, las revelaciones que obtuvieron Deena y Josh con el relato de C. Berman, única sobreviviente del campamento Nightwing, pudieron recuperar la mano de Sarah Fier y regresarla a su cuerpo enterrado en el bosque pensando que eso daría fin a la noche de terror desatada en Shadyside, pero eso no ocurrió de esa forma ya que Deena tendrá una visión de 1666, año en dónde se originó la maldición que los persigue.
As it happened with the second part, "Fear Street 1666" is a direct continuation, the revelations obtained by Deena and Josh with the story of C. Berman, the only survivor of the Nightwing camp, were able to recover Sarah Fier's hand and return it to her body buried in the forest thinking that this would put an end to the night of terror unleashed in Shadyside, but that did not happen that way since Deena will have a vision of 1666, the year in which the curse that haunts them originated.
Tal como ocurrió en las dos películas anteriores, está tercera parte fue dirigida por Leigh Janiak, me gusta que a pesar de que está son historias de terror sobrenatural, siempre tiende a mostrar realismo en varias de sus escenas como en las muertes, aquí no veremos un poder invisible acechar y asesinar, todo está materializado, los asesinos a pesar de todo son reales igual que más muertes de sus víctimas, esto lo lleva a la pantalla está directora, pero lo mejor es que el "realismo" va de la mano con la época en dónde se cuenta está historia, en "1994" es muy pegado a lo que se vivía en esa época, igual que en "1978" que para mí es un gran homenaje a todos esos clásicos Slashers creados desde esa época hasta finales de los 80', ahora en esta última parte podemos ver qué Janiak quiso llevarnos a todos a esa época; muchas de sus escenas son oscuras y tal vez eso moleste a los espectadores, yo no tuve ningún problema porque muchas de esas escenas para mí no son tan importantes como otras, yo lo vi normal porque el año en dónde es reflejado esta parte de la historia, creo que son detalles importantes. El trabajo de Janiak en la dirección fue constante, creo los momentos necesarios de tensión, terror y dio lo necesario para los fans de este género, creo que esto es una gran presentación para esta joven directora.
El guion fue con escrito por Janiak junto a Kate Trefry y Phil Graziadei, la historia de este film es un gran complemento para las dos anteriores, creo que le da un gran valor a toda la historia y por supuesto es una conclusión, una muy buena con un buen Plot Twist, me gustó porque responde a las preguntas que tenía desde el final de la primera parte y le da gran importancia a los protagonistas de la segunda parte; este film como tercer acto es excelente en su primera parte nos cuenta esa grave historia sobre la cacería de brujas y de cómo el prejuicio en contra las mujeres dio poder a fanáticos religiosos de perseguir y juzgar a mujeres a acusándolas de practicar brujería, creo que fue una gran idea de mostrar como siempre existirán grupos que rechazan lo diferente y los acusan de herejes por no seguir las reglas impuestas por una sociedad ignorante, todo eso en conjunto, responder las preguntas y dar valor a los dos filmes anteriores, mostrar un tema de actualidad que se vivió en otras épocas hace que este acto final de esta trilogía tenga muy buena historia.
As it happened in the two previous movies, this third part was directed by Leigh Janiak, I like that even though these are supernatural horror stories, it always tends to show realism in several of its scenes as in the deaths, here we won't see an invisible power stalking and killing, everything is materialized, the killers are real as well as more deaths of their victims, This is what this director brings to the screen, but the best thing is that the "realism" goes hand in hand with the time in which this story is told, in "1994" is very close to what was lived at that time, just as in "1978" which for me is a great tribute to all those classic Slashers created from that time until the late 80's, now in this last part we can see that Janiak wanted to take us all to that time; many of his scenes are dark and maybe that bothers the viewers, I didn't have any problem because many of those scenes for me are not as important as others, I saw it normal because the year where this part of the story is reflected, I think they are important details. The work of Janiak in the direction was constant, she created the necessary moments of tension, terror and gave the necessary for the fans of this genre, I think this is a great presentation for this young director.
The script was with written by Janiak together with Kate Trefry and Phil Graziadei, the story of this film is a great complement to the previous two, I think it gives a great value to the whole story and of course is a conclusion, a very good one with a good Plot Twist, I liked it because it answers the questions I had since the end of the first part and gives great importance to the protagonists of the second part; this film as a third act is excellent in its first part it tells us that serious story about the witch hunt and how the prejudice against women gave power to religious fanatics to persecute and judge women accusing them of practicing witchcraft, I think it was a great idea to show how there will always be groups that reject what is different and accuse them of being heretics for not following the rules imposed by an ignorant society, all this together, answering the questions and giving value to the two previous films, showing a current issue that was lived in other times makes this final act of this trilogy has a very good story.
Para ser sincero el personaje de Deena no me gustó mucho en la primera parte, creo que sus motivos fueron causante de varias muertes, pero en esta parte se transforma en una buena "Final Girl", su evolución es buena aunque sus motivos siguen siendo los mismos, pero creo que ya no es un personaje molesto como si lo es en "1994", está vez si la sentí como la protagonista y me gusta que haya evolucionado porque creo que había sido opacada por las chicas en "1978", pero está historia en la cual la hace vivir todo lo que pasó Sarah Fier, le dio la valentía necesaria para tratar de detener la maldición qué afecta a Shadyside; sin duda que este personaje es el dueño absoluto en este acto final y creo que está muy bien hecho, tanto escrito como actuado por Kiana Madeira.
To be honest, I didn't like Deena's character in the first part, I think her motives were the cause of several deaths, but in this part she becomes a good "Final Girl", her evolution is good although her motives are still the same, but I think she is no longer an annoying character as she is in "1994", this time I felt her as the main character and I like that she has evolved because I think she had been overshadowed by the girls in "1978", but this story in which she lives everything that Sarah Fier went through, gave her the necessary courage to try to stop the curse that affects Shadyside; without a doubt this character is the absolute master in this final act and I think it is very well done, both written and acted by Kiana Madeira.
La pasé muy bien en estás tres semanas viendo estos films originales de Netflix, tenía pocas expectativas al comenzar, pero fueron aumentando mientras era el estreno de las dos últimas partes, me pareció genial hacerlas de esta forma, tres películas seguidas, una sola historia dividía en dos noches mortales, me gustó que se hiciera homenajes a géneros del terror y demostrar que existe tantas formas de contar una misma historia y hacerlo de muy buena manera, creo que todo lo ideado para hacer estás tres películas fue de lo mejor que he visto este año, son simples, no son perfectas, ni mucho menos busca traer algo nuevo al género, pero es un proyecto bien hecho, muy bien pensado y para ejemplo es el cierre de esta historia, ojalá que muy pronto hagan más películas, que exploren otras épocas o hacer algo más actual, la gran cantidad de libros se ve que existe un gran número de material para seguir haciendo este tipo de films o porque no, se puede desarrollar una miniserie y crear un gran número de temporadas en dónde veremos si la maldición en Shadyside llegó a su fin.
I had a great time in these three weeks watching these Netflix original films, I had low expectations at the beginning, but they were increasing while the premiere of the last two parts, I thought it was great to make them in this way, three films in a row, a single story divided into two deadly nights, I liked that tributes were made to horror genres and show that there are so many ways to tell the same story and do it in a very good way, I think everything devised to make these three films was the best I've seen this year, they are simple, they are not perfect, much less looking to bring something new to the genre, but it is a well done project, very well thought out and for example is the closure of this story, hopefully very soon they will make more films, exploring other eras or do something more current, the large number of books shows that there is a large number of material to continue making such films or why not, you can develop a miniseries and create a large number of seasons where we will see if the curse in Shadyside came to an end.

Fue un buen cierre para toda la historia y mostrando el origen de la maldición con su respectivo giro de guion.
He quedado gratamente satisfecho. He visto últimamente muchas películas de horror dirigidas por mujeres, lo dije en un post de hace semanas. Y lo están haciendo muy bien dentro del genero.
He leído estupideces de yotubers diciendo que son unas pelis de la agenda progre de netflix y bla bla bla. Parecen olvidarse que la cacería de brujas existió de verdad y la mayoría de victimas fueron pro supuesto mujeres inocentes. No solo fue algo que ocurrio en Europa. Los religiosos conservadores en América también mataron a personas culpadas de ser brujas.
Atacan a netflix, cuando en realidad solo compraron los derechos de distribución al quedar el proyecto estancado por el covid. Ahora, con el éxito que tuvieron, lo mas seguro es que estén negociando con el estudio los derechos de adaptación de otras novelas del autor. Tienen bastante material original para ir adaptando. Ojala lo sigan haciendo bien.
Yo no tuve que ver a youtubers, vi a personas opinar de qu el film es dirigido a los progres, protagonistas gays, negros, latinos, los blancos adinerados son los malos, los pobres son los buenos, estaba esperando de que dijeran que los asesinos a pesar de pertenecer a una zona pobre todos eran blancos, se pierden todo lo bueno de la película con sus quejas, creen que todo es una agenda contra ellos y eso jode, pero siempre habrá este tipo de opinión, yo en cambio celebro que hubieran cambios en las reglas impuestas en este tipo de films, no es un cambio drástico, pero si hay cosas que celebro y espero que Netflix tenga la gran idea de producir films de esta serie de libros y si lo hacen, entonces que sigan este camino visto en estos tres filmes.
Todo lo quieren mezclar ahora con la agenda progre y problemas políticos. Es cierto que Hollywood es dominada por la izquierda de caviar, pero no todo esta enfocado en eso, y si no afecta en nada que la historia sea entretenida, bienvenido.
Celebro que mas mujeres cineastas estén haciendo películas, especialmente del genero de horror.
En estos tres films vi mas gore que en la película con la que tenia altas expectativas, la cual si es una producción original italiana de Netflix : A Classic Horror Story

STOPI thought this was OK, but not great. it is a novel approach to release 3 whole movies all at once and I got some enjoyment out of this but mostly I found it to be 3 films that easily could have been done in one film.
At the end I thought it was going to work as a miniseries, but as it is, I don't find any problem with it and after the premiere of the end of this story, I liked the three movies, now I don't know if they were going to work in the cinema as it seems they were originally going to be released.
These movies are not perfect or the best, I see them as a good tribute to the genre, very entertaining and with a lot of potential to make more movies.
This triology was very entertaining. I never read the books as a kid. I kinf of wish I did now.
I haven't read the books either, I don't know if this story is reflected in one of the books, I think it's more than just anthology stories that happen in the same place and that influenced the creation of this story.
I am not sure if the trilogy was based on a particular book either. I sure didnt know the books were that much gory. I thought they were just trashy romance novel versions of Goosebumps. I was wrong.
Yo tenía mis dudas sobre si decidir ver esta trilogía o no, pero he estado leyendo sobre ella, parece que a bastante gente le gusta y como tampoco ha habido muchas producciones excelentes de terror últimamente he decidido a darle un vistazo a ver qué tal. Aún no las he visto pero sí por lo menos las tengo en la lista para ver. Creo que para la semana que viene más o menos estaré viendolas.
Yo la disfrute,la dirección va mejorando en las secuelas y los personajes son cada vez mejores y el la tercera es un buen cierre, espero que cuando la vea le guste.
