Reseña de Army of The Dead [ESP-ENG] Army Of The Dead review.
Cuando se anunció el rodaje de esta película todos los fans de Snyder nos mantuvimos expectantes a su estreno y en lo personal no me sentí nada decepcionado, la película me encantó y aquí te vengo a traer una reseña sobre ella, te advierto, esto esta lleno de spoilers, comencemos.
When the shooting of this movie was announced, all of us Snyder fans were waiting for its release and personally I was not disappointed at all, I really loved the movie and the action and here I come to bring you a review about it, I warn you, this is full of spoilers, let's start.
Army Of The Dead.
Snyder inició su carrera como cineasta con una película de este genero, El Amanecer de los Muertos, entre ambas, ésta me gustó mas, pero eso es cuestión de gustos siempre, esta película tiene un reparto coral en el que destaca Dave Bautista como el protagonista, la trama gira en torno a su personaje, Scott Ward, que es contratado por un magnate para entrar a Las Vegas a robar un casino en donde hay 200 millones de dolares en efectivo, todo esto mientras Las Vegas está infectada por una horda de zombies. Es dirigida por Zack Snyder y producida por el mismo, su esposa Deborah Snyder y por Wesley Coller, se estrenó el 21 de mayo bajo clasificación R.
Snyder began his career as a filmmaker with a film of this genre, Dawn of the Dead, between the two, I liked this one more, but that's always a matter of taste, this film has an ensemble cast in which Dave Bautista stands out as the protagonist, the plot revolves around his character, Scott Ward, who is hired along with a group of people by a tycoon to enter to Las Vegas to rob a casino in there are 200 million dollars in cash, all this while Las Vegas is infected by nightmare creatures and a horde of zombies. This one is directed by Zack Snyder and produced by himself, his wife Deborah Snyder and Wesley Coller, it was released on May 21 under an R-rating.

En la secuencia inicial vemos como un grupo de militares transporta una carga desconocida desde el area 51, ahi sufren un accidente que provoca que el transporte se abra y de su interior aparece un zombie que acaba con todo el grupo de militares y que luego fija su mirada en Las Vegas, a lo lejos, luego vemos una divertida y muy buena secuencia de presentación de personajes donde conocemos a Scott Ward (Dave Bautista), Vanderohe (Omari Hardwick) y María Cruz (Ana de la Reguera) que sobrevivieron al brote en las Vegas, un tiempo después de eso Scott es contratado por Bly Tanaka para hacer un trabajo de extracción, que consiste en entrar a Las Vegas y robar la bóveda de un casino en el que se encuentran 200 millones de dolares. Scott reúne un equipo y contacta a su hija que ahora trabaja para la OMS, para que esta los ayude a entrar a la zona de cuarentena, ésta acepta y los presenta ante Coyote, quien los hace entrar a Las Vegas.
In the opening sequence we see how a group of military transporting an unknown cargo from Area 51, then suffer an accident when they collide with the car of a couple that causes the transport opens and inside appears a zombie known a Zeus, who that kills the entire group of military and then fixes his gaze on Las Vegas, in the distance, We then see a fun and very good character introduction sequence where we meet some of the main characters, Scott Ward (Dave Bautista), Vanderohe (Omari Hardwick) and Maria Cruz (Ana de la Reguera) who survived the outbreak in Las Vegas, some time after that Scott is hired by Bly Tanaka to do an extraction job, which is to enter Las Vegas and steal the vault of a casino in which there are 200 million dollars. Scott assembles a team and contacts his daughter, who now works for the OMS, to help them enter the quarantine zone, she accepts and introduces them to Coyote, who gets them into Las Vegas.

Una vez dentro se topan con la primera horda de zombies (y la primera decepción) un grupo de muertos que se resecaron con el sol y ahora no pueden moverse, Coyote le dice al grupo que cuando llueve, vuelven a la vida por un tiempo y ahí es donde viene la decepción, cuando te dan ese dato dices: la que se va a armar cuando empiece a llover... y alerta de spoiler, jamas llueve en la película. Pero es lo que hay y hay que seguir, Coyote utiliza a Cummings, un policía abusador que ella misma invito a la aventura, como una ofrenda a los muertos para que estos les permitan transitar sin lastimarlos, la reina de los zombies acepta el trato y se llevan a Cummings a su santuario, donde es convertido por el rey zombie, Zeus. El grupo se adentra en una zona oscura donde tienen que pasar en silencio a través de un gran grupo de zombies que están hibernando, Martin le tiende una trampa a Chambers y esta acaba muriendo, gracias a un disparo que Myke le dió a su tanque de gasolina, para que tuviera una muerte rápida pues estaba siendo devorada por los muertos vivientes.
Once inside they encounter the first horde of zombies (and the first disappointment) a group of dead that dried out in the sun and now can not move, Coyote tells the group that when it rains, they come back to life for a while and that's where the disappointment comes, when they give you that information you say: what will happen when it starts raining ... and spoiler alert, it never rains in the movie. Coyote uses Cummings, an abusive cop that she invited to the adventure, as an offering to the dead to allow them to pass without hurting them, the queen of the zombies accepts the deal and Cummings is taken to her sanctuary, where he is converted into alfa, a more powerful species of zombie, by the zombie king, Zeus, the first of this nigthmare. The group enters a dark area where they have to pass silently through a large group of zombies that are hibernating, Martin sets a trap for Chambers changing the course to follow and she ends up dying, thanks to a shot that Myke gave her gas tank, so she would have a quick death because she was being devoured by the undead.

El grupo llega al casino y se disponen a abrir la caja fuerte, Martin convence a Coyote de que le ayude a conseguir sangre de zombie alfa, pero en realidad le corta la cabeza a la reina zombie para llevársela a Tanaka, el gobierno decide adelantar el bombardeo a la ciudad para acabar con los zombies y Martin traiciona al grupo encerrandolos en un ataque de la horda, que inició cuando Zeus se dio cuenta que habian matado a su reina, sin embargo Kate, la hija de Scott se escapó antes para ir a salvar a su amiga, en un intento desesperado por escapar mueren casi todos los personajes, Scott logra rescatar a Kate y escapan pero es mordido por Zeus, que muere luego de un balazo que le da Scott, Kate queda como la única sobreviviente junto a Vanderohe, que escapa con el dinero y justo antes de descender su avión en Ciudad de México se da cuenta de que fue mordido y esta por convertirse en zombie.
The group arrives at the casino and are ready to open the safe, we see some comic scenes where the protagonists play with the zombies and lueMartin convinces Coyote to help him get alpha zombie blood, but in reality he cuts off the head of the zombie queen to take it to Tanaka, the government decides to advance the bombing of the city to kill the zombies with a nuclear bomb and Martin betrays the group locking them in a horde attack that began when Zeus realized that his queen had been killed. However Kate, Scott's daughter escaped earlier to go to save her friend, in a desperate attempt to escape almost all the characters die, Scott manages to rescue Kate and they escape but is bitten by Zeus, who dies after a bullet that Scott gives him, Kate is the only survivor along with Vanderohe, who just before descending in Mexico City realizes that he was bitten and is about to become a zombie.

La película es una cinta de acción y cumple muy bien su propósito, el drama dentro de ella fue criticado pero en lo personal me gustó, no lo veo como un freno en la narración si no como un descanso a la acción y es que hay mucho de eso, veremos explosiones, peleas, disparos y situaciones épicas, una de mis escenas favoritas fue la del tigre zombie, Valentine, devorando a Martin, también la pelea en el helicóptero entre Scott y Zeus, la película en general me gustó muchísimo porque cumple muy bien su tarea que es entretener, aunque claro, es de Zack Snyder y esta vez tuvo control total sobre el indice creativo así que veremos sus acostumbradas referencias religiosas por toda la película, también teorías locas como la paradoja temporal que explica Vanderohe, o el posible origen extraterrestre de los zombies o su reproduccion, zombies robots, incluso, hay naves espaciales en la película ¿las viste? porque están ahí a la vista, no intentaron ocultarlas, yo siento que Snyder le lanzó varios dardos a la cinta a ver con cual le atina a los fanáticos y utilizar eso para la escritura de la secuela, ya por cierto hay dos producciones confirmadas, una es una serie animé que se basa en el incidente de Las Vegas, y una película precuela con el personaje de Dieter, estoy muy emocionado con este nuevo universo de zombies que ha creado Snyder, ojala Netflix no haga un Netflix y cancele el proyecto, le veo mucho potencial.
The film is an action movie and it fulfills its purpose very well, the drama in it was criticized but personally I liked it, I don't see it as a brake on the narrative but as a break to the action and there is a lot of it, we will see explosions, fights, shootings, robberies and epic situations, one of my favorite scenes was the zombie tiger, Valentine, devouring Martin, also the fight in the helicopter between Scott and Zeus, the movie in general I liked a lot because it fulfills very well its task which is to entertain, although of course, it's Zack Snyder's and this time he had total control over the creative index so we will see his usual religious references throughout the movie, also crazy theories like the temporal paradox that Vanderohe explains, or the possible extraterrestrial origin of the zombies, even, there are spaceships in the movie, did you see them? because they are there in plain sight, they did not try to hide them, or the zombies that reproduce among themselves, or worse, the robot zombies that we can see in the movie, I feel that Snyder threw several darts at the film to see which one hits the fans and use that to write the sequel, by the way there are two confirmed productions, one is an anime series based on the Las Vegas incident, and a prequel film with the character of Dieter, I am very excited about this new universe of zombies that Snyder has created, I hope Netflix does not do a Netflix's thing and cancel the project, because I see a lot of potential on it.
