RE: Binge on This - StartUp: Not For Learning About Crypto!

I haven't seen the series, I passed it up when it premiered. Maybe it's time to take a look at it, since it's three seasons and the series is over. I like violence , no matter if it is unnecessary in the plot. XD

I think there is an order within the film and television industry, to associate cryptocurrencies with the negative. In series like Homeland, bitcoin was used to trade with terrorists. In the series Euphoria, cryptocurrencies are used by young people selling drugs and then one of the girls, who plays a teenage character, to sell her sexual content on the internet.

There are other movies and series, I don't remember the titles, but they always name cryptocurrencies with some illicit or bad activity. so they influence the subconscious of the viewers, they are manipulating them so that when someone talks to them about that topic, they immediately think it is something bad. why don't they show something positive in a movie or series? For example, that people's lives are saved because of donations through Cryptos. No, they don't show that in any series or movie, only plots where they relate to crime, drugs, terrorism, mafia networks, etc.

When I can I will take a look at the series.

Well, under these conditions I think you would like this series. I was cringing in my seat listening to their vague and idealistic description on how crypto will save the world, thinking that my dog has a better understanding of blockchain technology. And yes, at the same time they were associating it with anything from money laundering, to drugs and guns, all the way to terrorism. But if you're prepared for all that, and still up for watching it, I think you'll actually enjoy it. Like I said, the characters and plot twists are not that bad.
