¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo un post bastante genial que decidí hacer motivado al hype que he tenido por haber terminado de ver la última serie de Marvel estrenada en la plataforma de streaming Disney+ conocida como Falcon y El Soldado del Invierno, la cual se enfoca en la historia de Falcon y Bucky luego de la caída de Thanos y el regreso de la humanidad de los sucesos del chasquido.
Duré las 6 semanas viendo capítulo tras capítulo en emisión junto a mi amorcito @dimeshana y compartiré todas mis impresiones al respecto de los detalles particulares de los personajes más icónicos de la serie.
Así que, sin más que agregar, comencemos.
Welcome back to my blog, guys! Today I bring you a pretty cool post that I decided to do motivated to the hype I've had for having finished watching the latest Marvel series released on the Disney+ streaming platform known as Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which focuses on the story of Falcon and Bucky after the fall of Thanos and the return of humanity from the events of the snap.
I lasted the 6 weeks watching episode after episode on air alongside my sweetie @dimeshana and will share all my impressions regarding the particular details of the series' most iconic characters.
So, without further ado, let's get started.
La Serie | The Series
Desde el primer momento en el que se anunció la serie sabía que sería algo increíblemente épico para ver, pues durante muchas conversaciones que tuve con un amigo mío muy cercano que es tan geek como yo, llegamos a la conclusión tras los sucesos de Avengers: Endgame, que esta serie sería bastante genial para mostrarnos la transición del que sería el reemplazo del Capitán Steve Rogers.
Generalmente no suelo tener expectativas con nada, pero esta serie particularmente me llamaba mucho la atención porque justamente quería ver de forma protagónica a este par de personajes que tuvieron apariciones épicas, además, existían rumores de que Bucky volvería para redimirse y reivindicarse por el daño causado durante su trance como Soldado del Invierno.
Como su nombre lo indica, esta historia está enfocada en la vida de Falcon y Bucky tras derrotar a Thanos y devolver a la humanidad que desapareció tras el chasquido en la película de Avengers: Infinity War y sucede 6 meses después de los sucesos de la gran batalla.
From the first moment the series was announced I knew it would be something incredibly epic to see, as during many conversations I had with a very close friend of mine who is as geeky as I am, we came to the conclusion after the events of Avengers: Endgame, that this series would be pretty cool to show us the transition of what would be the replacement of Captain Steve Rogers.
I don't usually have expectations with anything, but this series particularly caught my attention because I just wanted to see this pair of characters who had epic appearances in a leading role, plus, there were rumors that Bucky would return to redeem himself and vindicate himself for the damage caused during his trance as Winter Soldier.
As the name implies, this story is focused on the life of Falcon and Bucky after defeating Thanos and bringing back the humanity that disappeared after the snap in the Avengers: Infinity War movie and takes place 6 months after the events of the big battle.
La Trama | The Plot
Me gustó muchísimo la trama; todo radicaba en el surgimiento de un grupo de personas que comenzaron a pronunciarse por la reaparición de los seres humanos que fueron exterminados por el chasquido de Thanos, ya que las organizaciones gubernamentales no tenían planificado que eso sucedira y por ende, las cosas que ya se habían establecido a nivel estructural para la sociedad no se daba abasto con ese cambio drástico poblacional, entonces comenzaron a surgir medidas que hicieron enojar a un montón de personas que no podían acceder a sus hogares.
Debemos recordar que esto es motivado a que tras el primer chasquido, pasaron 5 años antes de que se pudiera llevar a cabo la batalla donde Thanos fue derrotado, así que realmente pasaron muchísimas cosas mientras la mitad del universo estaba desaparecido y tiene mucho sentido la conmosión y el caos que causó el hecho de que dicha mitad volviera luego de 5 años.
I really liked the plot; everything was based on the emergence of a group of people who began to speak out for the reappearance of humans who were exterminated by Thanos' snap, since government organizations had not planned for that to happen and therefore, the things that had already been established at a structural level for society were not enough with that drastic population change, then measures began to emerge that made a lot of people who could not access their homes angry.
We must remember that this is motivated by the fact that after the first snap, 5 years passed before the battle where Thanos was defeated could take place, so a lot of things really happened while half of the universe was missing and it makes a lot of sense the commotion and chaos caused by the fact that half of the universe came back after 5 years.
La relación entre los personajes principales de la serie (Sam Wilson y Bucky Barnes) es bastante tensa en los primeros capítulos, ya que a raíz de la decisión de Sam de darle el escudo al gobierno de los Estados Unidos, Bucky se sintió increíblemente ofendido pues piensa que Steve Rogers le confió el escudo a Sam pensando que él sería su sucesor y que podría cargar con ese legado.
Esa decisión la entendí y la acepté totalmente porque habían demasiadas cosas y factores que realmente no hacían que cargar ese escudo fuera tan sencillo.
Pero entonces, el gobierno de los Estados Unidos supo que necesitaban de vuelta a su héroe para que las personas pudieran sentirse seguras ante cualquier amenaza y así le dieron vida al primer personaje del que quiero hablar en este post:
The relationship between the main characters of the series (Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes) is quite tense in the first few chapters, because following Sam's decision to give the shield to the U.S. government, Bucky felt incredibly offended because he thinks that Steve Rogers entrusted the shield to Sam thinking that he would be his successor and that he could carry that legacy.
That decision I totally understood and accepted because there were too many things and factors that really didn't make carrying that shield that easy.
But then, the U.S. government knew they needed their hero back so that people could feel safe from any threat and so they gave life to the first character I want to talk about in this post:
El «Héroe» | The "Hero"
Este personaje me llamó bastante la atención, pues lo colocaron como el nuevo Capitán América (según el gobierno de los Estados Unidos) pues era un soldado élite que había aportado muchas cosas a nivel de guerra a la nación, era totalmente ejemplar y había obtenido demasiado mérito con su uniforme, entonces al ser envestido con esta gigantezca responsabilidad supe de inmediato que le iba a quedar muy grande el traje (hablando en sentido figurado).
Desde el primer momento que lo vi actuando como «Capitán América» supe que el rol no le pertenecía en absoluto, ya que Steve Rogers había desarrollado una visión de la manera en que se hacían y se tenían que hacer las cosas vistiendo ese uniforme y John Walker iba totalmente en contra a eso.
This character caught my attention, because he was placed as the new Captain America (according to the U.S. government) as he was an elite soldier who had contributed many things to the nation at war level, he was totally exemplary and had obtained too much merit with his uniform, then to be wrapped with this gigantic responsibility I knew immediately that the suit was going to be very big (figuratively speaking).
From the first moment I saw him acting as "Captain America" I knew that the role did not belong to him at all, since Steve Rogers had developed a vision of the way things were done and had to be done wearing that uniform and John Walker went totally against that.
Me encantó como nos mostraron su verdadera faceta dentro de esta historia; tal como lo sospeché Walker terminó convirtiéndose en un Anti-Héroe desde el momento en que la ira se apoderó de su ser tras la muerte de su compañero en manos de los «Sin Bandera», los cuáles desarrollaré más adelante en este mismo post.
Su dinámica como personaje realmente estuvo en un segundo plano, lo único que hizo que nos viéramos algo atrapados con su personaje fue el hecho de haberlo visto consumir el Suero del Súper Soldado, cosa que lo llevó a estar en otro nivel y sin embargo, este personaje todavía no desarrolló suficiente potencial, pero debo admitir que tengo mucha curiosidad por verlo en su nueva faceta.
I loved how we were shown his true facet within this story; just as I suspected Walker ended up becoming an Anti-Hero from the moment anger took over his being after the death of his partner at the hands of the "Sin Bandera", which I will develop later in this post.
His dynamic as a character was really in the background, the only thing that made us get somewhat caught up with his character was the fact of having seen him consume the Super Soldier Serum, something that took him to be on another level and yet, this character still didn't develop enough potential, but I must admit that I'm very curious to see him in his new facet.
Al finalizar la serie vemos que le otorgan un nuevo nombre ya que su rol como Capitán América ya está siendo utilizado por Sam Wilson, entonces, se le proclama como U.S Agent y aunque algunos puedan creer que Walker se dedicará a la justicia con este rol, yo lo veo venir más como un villano que será un verdadero dolor de cabeza.
Veremos qué le depara el futuro a este personaje y a medida que vuelva a aparecer en la nueva fase del MCU, estaré dando mis impresiones de su evolución.
At the end of the series we see that he is given a new name since his role as Captain America is already being used by Sam Wilson, then, he is proclaimed as U.S Agent and although some may believe that Walker will be dedicated to justice with this role, I see him coming more as a villain who will be a real headache.
We'll see what the future holds for this character and as he reappears in the new phase of the MCU, I'll be giving my impressions of his evolution.
La Villana | The Villain
La villana de la serie conocida como Karli Mongenthau me gustó bastante, cuando la vi la primera vez, no supe por qué ella era la cara y líder del movimiento del grupo conocido como los «Sin Bandera» hasta que noté sus habilidades carismáticas y su impacto mediático para con las personas que creían en sus ideales, los cuales al principio parecen bastante desinteresados y honestos, pero luego empiezan a llevarla por un camino muy oscuro repleto de muertes y divisiones en el mundo.
The villain of the series known as Karli Mongenthau I quite liked, when I saw her the first time, I didn't know why she was the face and leader of the movement of the group known as the "Flag Smashers" until I noticed her charismatic abilities and her media impact to the people who believed in her ideals, which at first seem quite selfless and honest, but then start to lead her down a very dark path full of deaths and divisions in the world.
Los «Sin Bandera» fue un grupo de personas que buscaba realizar una especie de nueva «Pangea» para acabar con todos los problemas fronterizos, especialmente en el momento en el que se encuentra la humanidad tras el regreso de todas las personas que fueron exterminadas gracias al chasquido.
A cualquiera le hubiera parecido una causa muy noble pero básicamente ellos no querían convivir con los gobiernos mundiales ni sus reglas porque pensaban que el mundo estaba mejor sin fronteras como lo estuvo durante los sucesos del chasquido, simplemenente crearon un grupo de insurrección supremacista que buscaba generar rebeldía y anarquía en todos los rincones del mundo.
Me gustó el detalle de las máscaras para identificarlos y fue súper épica la historia del porqué ellos tenían Sueros de Súper Soldado con ellos, todo por la conexión que tenían con el Agente de Poder.
A pesar de no haber tenido tanta presencia en la serie por esta ser tan corta, siento que hicieron bastante bien el trabajo y rol de villanos dentro de la misma.
The "Flag Smashers" was a group of people who sought to create a kind of new "Pangea" to end all the border problems, especially at the moment in which humanity finds itself after the return of all the people who were exterminated thanks to the snapping.
To anyone it would have seemed a very noble cause but basically they didn't want to coexist with world governments and their rules because they thought the world was better off without borders as it was during the events of the snapping, they simply created a supremacist insurrection group that sought to generate rebellion and anarchy in all corners of the world.
I liked the detail of the masks to identify them and it was super epic the story of why they had Super Soldier Serums with them, all because of the connection they had with the Power Agent.
Despite not having had as much of a presence in the series because it was so short, I feel like they did the job and role of villains within the series pretty well.
La «Aliada» | The "Ally"
Este fue uno de los Plot Twist que más me encantó de la serie porque le hizo justicia al cabo suelto que quedó durante los sucesos de la película de Capitan América: Civil War, pues como recordaremos, Steve Rogers traicionó a Sharon Carter, al punto de que jamás se pudo limpiar su nombre luego de violar los acuerdos de Sokovia (cosa que hicieron varios de Los Vengadores y personas como Bucky Barnes), entonces fue bastante injusto.
A pesar de haber sido afectada por el chasquido, al regresar se vio obligada a esconderse en Madripoor, cosa que la llevó a transitar un camino oscuro donde el odio y el rencor por la traición de Steve la llevó a volverse uno de los villanos que veremos próximamente en esta nueva fase del MCU, la cuál llevará por nombre Power Broker.
Podemos darnos cuenta muy fácilmente en la escena post-créditos del último capítulo de la serie, donde ella le dice a algún contacto desconocido que ya tiene acceso a armas y secretos del gobierno por recuperar su nombre y estátus dentro del mismo.
Siento que este villano será súper interesante porque todavía no sabemos la capacidad de daño que tiene y la cantidad de motivos por rencor que posee, espero que la desarrollen bastante bien y no dañen al personaje.
This was one of the Plot Twist that I loved the most of the series because it did justice to the loose end that remained during the events of the movie Captain America: Civil War, because as we remember, Steve Rogers betrayed Sharon Carter, to the point that his name could never be cleared after violating the agreements of Sokovia (which several of the Avengers and people like Bucky Barnes did), so it was quite unfair.
Despite being affected by the snap, when she returned she was forced to hide in Madripoor, which led her to walk a dark path where hatred and resentment for the betrayal of Steve led her to become one of the villains we will see soon in this new phase of the MCU, which will be called Power Broker.
We can realize it very easily in the post-credits scene of the last chapter of the series, where she tells some unknown contact that she already has access to weapons and government secrets by regaining her name and status within the government.
I feel this villain will be super interesting because we still don't know the damage capacity she has and the amount of grudge motives she has, I hope they develop her quite well and don't damage the character.
El Anti-Héroe | The Anti-Hero
Este fue uno de los personajes que menos me esperé que apareciera y debo admitir que tampoco esperé que su papel acá fueran tan épico y a su vez tan divertido.
This was one of the characters I least expected to appear and I must admit that I didn't expect his role here to be so epic and at the same time so funny.
Si no recuerdan al Barón Zemo, deben volver a ver Capitán América y El Soldado del Invierno, pues él es el que tuvo el control mental de Bucky durante toda la película con las palabras clave que utilizaba para activar la programación del soldado y quitar todo tipo de humanidad de él.
Es gracioso que este personaje, a pesar de haber sido un villano a cabalidad en la película donde realizó su aparición anterior a esta serie, ahora pasa a ser lo que se define como un Anti-Héroe, lo que no es más que una persona que hace el bien pero con métodos muy extremos.
Un ejemplo de esto lo vemos cuando asesinó al creador del Suero del Súper Soldado, pues él pensó que eso traería paz más adelante pues así la humanidad no volvería a tener más amenazas por dejar caer este sueto en manos equivocadas.
Otro ejemplo fue cuando colocó la bomba en el camión que transportaba al resto de los «Sin Bandera» que escaparían una vez su líder muriera, haciendo que estos dejaran de aparecer por el mundo, una solución bastante agresiva, pero solución al fin.
Entonces, simplemente vemos un personaje que con todo y su pasado de villano, fue de mucha utilidad para la pareja protagonista y además desencadenó momentos épicos dentro de la serie como la llegada de las Dora Milaje para darle caza.
Un personaje épico y que además nos dejó uno de los mejores memes que han surgido a raíz de la emisión de la serie:
If you don't remember Baron Zemo, you should re-watch Captain America and The Winter Soldier, as he is the one who had mind control of Bucky throughout the movie with the code words he used to activate the soldier's programming and remove all humanity from him.
It is funny that this character, despite having been a full-fledged villain in the movie where he made his appearance prior to this series, now becomes what is defined as an Anti-Hero, which is nothing more than a person who does good but with very extreme methods.
An example of this is when he killed the creator of the Super Soldier Serum, because he thought that this would bring peace later because humanity would no longer be threatened by letting this serum fall into the wrong hands.
Another example was when he placed the bomb in the truck that transported the rest of the "Flag Smashers" that would escape once their leader died, making them stop appearing in the world, a rather aggressive solution, but a solution nonetheless.
So, we simply see a character who, despite his past as a villain, was very useful for the protagonist couple and also triggered epic moments in the series as the arrival of the Dora Milaje to hunt him down.
An epic character who also left us one of the best memes that have emerged as a result of the broadcast of the series:
El Nuevo Capitán América | The New Captain America
Esto fue lo que hizo valer COMPLETAMENTE la pena el ver esta serie con todo el entusiasmo posible, en definitiva esto sí que superó todas mis expectativas; en el capítulo 5 cuando Sam Wilson comenzó a entrenar para lanzar el escudo, luego de haberse decidido con respecto al tema de ser o no ser el Capitán América, debo decir que exploté por el hype, fue simplemente genial y como nos dejaron con la intriga para saber cómo se vería en el último capítulo fue una manera bastante genial de emocionarnos a todos.
El capítulo final fue una genialidad porque me fascinó ver la combinación entre el Capitán América por sus lanzamientos y uso inteligente del escudo de Vibranio y el uso de las alas y los aparatos electrónicos que otorgaba la tecnología del traje de Falcon, fue una combinación perfecta.
Además, me encantó el cierre de todo el problema con los «Sin Bandera», el último discurso de Sam para proclamarse como el nuevo Capitán América y su última batalla, todo fue perfecto.
Quiero verlo formando parte de conflictos más grandes en las próximas películas del MCU, simplemente no puedo esperar.
This was what made it COMPLETELY worth watching this series with all the enthusiasm possible, in short this did exceed all my expectations; in chapter 5 when Sam Wilson started training to throw the shield, after having made up his mind regarding the issue of being or not being Captain America, I must say I exploded from the hype, it was just great and as they left us with the intrigue to know how it would look in the last chapter it was a pretty cool way to get us all excited.
The final chapter was genius because I was fascinated to see the combination between Captain America for his throws and clever use of the Vibranium shield and the use of the wings and electronics granted by the technology of Falcon's suit, it was a perfect combination.
Also, I loved the closure of the whole issue with the "Sin Bandera", Sam's last speech to proclaim himself as the new Captain America and his last battle, everything was perfect.
I want to see him being part of bigger conflicts in the next MCU movies, I just can't wait.

Falcon fue creado para ser aliado del Cap y su más probable sucesor por el propio Stan Lee en el año 1969. Es decir, al final la década cumbre de la lucha contra la segregación. Es excelente que Sam Wilson sea el nuevo Capitán América del MCU. Ya habían adelantado ese cambio en los cómics, siendo Sam quien ha portado el escudo desde 2012 en la línea principal de Marvel Cómics.
De cualquier modo, el traje está facherísimo. Madre mía...
Hermano, todo fue perfecto, de hecho, primera vez en mi vida que estoy tan a favor de la inclusión porque siento que a veces las empresas lo hacen de una manera muy retorcida y chocante para generar polémica, pero en este caso todo fue perfecto.
Un ejemplo de eso es la villana, no existe ninguna Karli Mongenthau en los cómics, pero volvieron al personaje femenino para empoderar a las mujeres con la serie y eso me fascinó porque esa villana dio demasiado la talla y además volvieron al "Power Broker" mujer también con ese Plot Twist de Sharon Carter, simplemente una joya hermano, se vienen cosas épicas.
