Mindhunter: The Behind a Serial Killer | Review [ENG-ESP]

Today looking in the repertoire of series I started thinking about how difficult it is to choose to watch one, every one of the factors that make us decide on one or another influence our mind, even (in my case) even the previous series that I saw is an influential factor. That if the previous one was of Viking or medieval fantasies, or if I saw a comic, sitcom, horror and infinite genres that perhaps by monotony not to give the brain the same dose of something with a different prescription, we decide to completely change the air and watch a series that gives a 180 degree turn to what we were used to seeing.
That's why I started to think about what series I really find memorable and perhaps do not have the recognition they should have, that is, I started to think about series that in my opinion were underrated, and certainly the first that came to my mind was "Mindhunter".
A series that I saw a year ago when the pandemic began, on the recommendation of an in Spanish channel of filmography in general, which I always have as a reference when watching new releases which is "Coffee TV", you know that at that time we started a mandatory lockdown which led us to look for ways to entertain the mind or keep it at least aired of all the events that could be happening at that time. Remembering everything and how good it was I decided to watch it again and take advantage of the fact that I recently started on Hive to give it a review as it deserves this tremendous series belonging to the Netflix platform.
The series is set in 1977, it is about two policemen belonging to the FBI who run into each other by plot destinations, and the more they live together the more they realize what a good couple they both make. They realize that a murderer does not choose a victim at random, but bases his choice on a series of methodical steps that vary depending on the murderer. For this, they have to study them in-depth to prevent the further spread of these terrible events and therefore decide to interview the most famous killers in prisons to obtain findings that can advance their investigation.
Hoy buscando en el repertorio de series me puse a pensar en lo difícil que es el escoger ver una, todos y cada uno de los factores que nos hacen decidir por una o por otra influyen en nuestra mente, incluso (en mi caso) hasta la anterior serie que me ví es un factor influyente. Que si la anterior era de fantasías vikingas o medievales, o si vi un comic, sitcom, horror e infinidades de géneros que quizás por la monotonía de no darle al cerebro la misma dosis de algo con una prescripción diferente, decidimos cambiar totalmente de aires y ver una serie que dé un giro de 180 grados a lo que teníamos acostumbrados a ver.
Es por eso que me puse a pensar en que series de verdad me parecen memorables y quizás no tienen el reconocimiento que deberían tener, es decir, me puse a pensar en series que en mi opinión estaban infravaloradas, y sin duda la primera que me vino la mente fue “Mindhunter”.
Una serie que ví hace un año cuando empezó la pandemia, a recomendación de un canal en español de filmografía en general, el cual siempre tengo como referencia a la hora de ver nuevos estrenos que es “Coffee TV”, ya saben que en ese momento empezamos un encierro obligatorio el cual nos llevó a buscar maneras de como entretener la mente o mantenerla por lo menos aireada de todos los acontecimientos que pudieran estar pasando en ese momento. Recordando todo y lo buena que fue decidí vérmela otra vez y aprovechar que comencé hace poco en Hive para hacerle una reseña como merece esta tremenda serie perteneciente a la plataforma de Netflix.
La serie está ambientada en 1977, trata de dos policías pertenecientes al FBI los cuales se topan por destinos de la trama y mientras más van conviviendo más se van dando cuenta de la buena pareja que hacen ambos. Ellos se dan cuenta de que un asesino no elige una víctima al azar, si no que basa su elección en una serie de pasos metódicos que varían según sea el asesino. Para esto tienen que estudiar a profundidad a estos con el fin de poder evitar que se sigan propagando estos terribles acontecimientos y por eso deciden entrevistar a los asesinos más famosos en las cárceles para obtener hallazgos que puedan hacer avanzar su investigación.
Mindhunter contemplates a very TOP quality standard in terms of script, development of characters (both main and secondary) but above all its biggest factor is the similarity of the actors who play the killers not only physically but also of interpretation. Its acting quality I think is a factor that takes it to the next level and elevates it as a tremendous series that seeks to highlight all the points that touch the twisted mind of a serial killer, based on real killers from the least known to the best known in the history of the United States.
The series focuses its main focus on one of the factors that take advantage of thanks to its theme which is the script between the killers and the agents, it knows how to exploit the continuous tension generated by each dialogue, each conversation, the feeling that suddenly they can attack, is something that the viewer always expects what will happen, this resource does it in an excellent way making you feel tense at all times of the conversations.
Mindhunter contempla un estándar de calidad muy TOP en cuanto a guión, desarrollo de personajes (tanto principales como secundarios) pero sobretodo su factor más grande es la similitud que presentan los actores que interpretan a los asesinos no solo físicamente sino también de interpretación. Su calidad actoral creo que es un factor que la lleva al siguiente nivel y la eleva como una tremenda serie que busca resaltar todos los puntos que toca la retorcida mente de un asesino en serie, basándose en asesinos reales desde los menos conocidos hasta los más conocidos en la historia de Estados Unidos.
La serie centra su foco principal en uno de los factores que aprovecha gracias a su temática que es el guion entre los asesinos y los agentes, sabe explotar la tensión continua que genera cada dialogo, cada conversación, el sentir que de pronto podrá atacar, es algo que al espectador siempre lo tiene a la expectativa de que pasará, este recurso lo hace de excelente manera haciendo que te sientas tenso en todo momento de las conversaciones.
I think that perhaps the factor that is not so valued or popular is the same fact that it does not seek to generalize the tastes and seek to please any viewer, if not that raises correctly and with scenery little warm the theme of the series, simply tries to capture what it is, a series that seeks to decipher and show the complex world with a sad face, reflected in the completion of a disturbed mind in its entirety and taken to the limit of his mind as a result of factors such as physical or upbringing.

Pienso que quizás el factor de que no sea tan valorada o popular es el mismo hecho que no busca generalizar los gustos y buscar agradar a cualquier espectador, si no que plantea de una forma correcta y con escenografías poco cálidas la temática de la serie, simplemente intenta plasmar lo que es, una serie que busca descifrar y mostrar el mundo complejo con cara triste, reflejada en la terminación de una mente perturbada en su totalidad y llevada al límite de sus cabales a raíz de factores como físicos o de crianza.

As of today, Mindhunter has two seasons, it had been officially said that it was paralyzed indefinitely as usual with several Netflix series, but in recent days the news came out that Netflix has returned to have contact with David Fincher for the realization of a third season so acclaimed by those of us who are fans of the series.
Mindhunter is an excellent series which I highly recommend you to watch if you haven't seen it yet, at the beginning it can get a little heavy and boring but it's normal and as the episodes go by it takes an interesting turn that makes you get hooked to it. Now is a good time to watch it since it is estimated that a third season may be made to catch it in a thread when it premieres. I loved the series and it doesn't have any loss because it makes you feel intrigued at all times for what can happen next. Anyway, this was my review of Mindhunter, it is the first one I do and sincerely I loved doing it, I appreciate any input you can give me, and see you in the next installment.
A día de hoy Mindhunter cuenta con dos temporadas, se había dicho de manera oficial que quedaba paralizada de forma indefinida como es de costumbre con varias series de Netflix, pero en días recientes salió la noticia de que Netflix ha vuelto a tener contacto con David Fincher para la realización de una tercera temporada tan aclamada por los que somos fanáticos de la serie.
Mindhunter es una serie excelente la cual recomiendo enteramente que vean si aún no la han visto, al principio puede tornarse un poco pesada y aburrida pero es algo normal y con el pasar de episodios va agarrando un giro interesante que te hace engancharte a ella. Ahora es un buen momento para verla ya que se estima que es muy posible que se realice una tercera temporada para agarrarla en hilo cuando se estrene. A mí de verdad que la serie me encantó y no tiene perdida ninguna porque te hace sentir intrigado en todo momento por lo que puede suceder ahora. En fin, ésta fue mi review de Mindhunter, es la primera que hago y sinceramente me encantó el hacerla, agradezco cualquier aporte que puedan hacerme llegar y nos vemos en una próxima entrega.

Espero que Fincher se anime a hacer la tercera temporada y le de un cierre a la historia. El estaba agotado luego de las dos temporadas, porque es demasiado meticuloso y perfeccionista. También la serie es una de las caras en producción. Con las nuevas conversaciones espero que hagan el acuerdo. No importa que hagan un salto temporal largo, me gustaría ver cuando atrapen al asesino BTK
Ojalá por lo menos para que la historia finalice y cierre su ciclo bien,Fincher es un director emblema y todos los trabajos que realiza son de alta calidad. Yo deseo lo mismo porque por más que no ha sido un factor principal en la trama de Holden y Bill siempre lo han hido asomando y ya en la segunda temporada vimos que el encuentro de ellos con BTK era crónica de una muerte anunciada, sería un perfecto final para la serie. Vi esta serie hace algún tiempo y fue muy interesante cómo abordaron cada caso y sus estrategias para aprender más sobre la forma en que funcionan las mentes criminales. Una de las gemas de Netflix, eso es seguro.
Totalmente de acuerdo, en mi opinión si no es la mejor serie Original de Netflix creo que está entre las 3 mejores al menos. No suelo ser muy fanático de las series que produce Netflix, me suelen gustar algunas y otras no tanto, pero esta sin duda es una joya
Is a crime thriller series boring? I don't think so hahaha.
I haven't seen the series, but it has similarities with CSI and true detective, plus all these series that study the minds of criminals, deserve to be seen at least once.
What happens is that it is not so similar to the series you mention because unlike them do not have such a focus, example in True Detective try to solve a relevant case that occurs in "X" place, instead, Mindhunter is gradually progressing with each interview and new findings, at first for those who are used to watching series that from the first moment you get all the action can be boring, but it is something just the beginning as happens to many series that are then grabbing the thread.
Anyway, it is a great series like the ones you mention and you are obliged to watch it hahaha.
Great TV Show, with a very intense approach on the main subject.

I have watched Mindhunter and enjoyed how the FBI came about the group of people that got into the minds of serial killers. I will look forward to a season 3.

Te creo cuando dices que no tiene el valor que se merece, yo ni tenía idea de que existía. Pero por todo lo que mencionas me da la impresión de que prepararon un buen guión y desenlace, que de seguro te dejó atrapado en ella.

Por eso exactamente es que lo digo, como te dije en tu reseña de Matrix esta también es un must-watch jajajaja. Es bastante intensa y estoy seguro de que si la ves te va a gustar.
